Ava watched our two elderly (13 and 12yo) dogs while we were away an on extended summer trip. While we appreciated her calm and confident approach in the interview process and the meet and greet went well, it ultimately wasn't the best experience for all parties. Unfortunately, it seemed Ava prioritized her comfort over that of our dogs. In the meet and greet, we discussed Hugs's anxiety and difficulty with people (and I gave tips for having him meet people outside and taking things slow). While we gave Ava permission to have a friend or two over while she stayed at our home (since we planned to be gone for a month), in reality she had visitors daily, even on day one and sometimes in groups. This didn't allow her to bond or establish a positive baseline with our dogs and wasn't conducive to our anxious dog's comfort, and he acted out accordingly. Even though we checked in regularly, Ava didn't share any concerns until things were seemingly dire. Ultimately, we incurred additional costs to cut our trip short by a full week so one adult could return home. This was a decision we made in everyone's best interest, though it was not well-received. While we won't be working with Ava again, we wish her well.

This was our first time having Ava look after Oscar. She was communicative, friendly and super responsible. Would highly recommend her.

Ava is such a sweet and responsible person. She is a true animal lover who treats your pets as her own. She is young so has energy to take dogs on long walks and cuddle with cats all night. I highly recommend her to watch anyone’s animals.

I was so lucky to find Ava! She is so kind and caring and wants to do the best for your pets and your home. She’s very communicative about how things are going so I never worry. She took care of a complicated home, managing the environment, food, medication and water for pets and plants. I highly recommend Ava if you want a worry-free vacation.

I've watched Ava interact with dogs, cats, and chickens. I trust her to keep my animals not just safe but also loved. She is a kind girl who has great patience and is an animal lover. I will happily hire her again as my pet sitter.
