We did a meet and greet and were excited to use her for in home dog sitting. Unfortunately we noticed quite a few things that made us move to a different sitter. Thee most concerning was that she left unused lancets (small needles for checking blood sugar) on the couch my dogs sleep on and where my kids play as well as on the floor nearby. As explained in person, in text, and in highlighted written instructions, my dogs will chew things up and this was a huge issue for us as this could’ve hurt both the dogs or kids if they had got them before I did. Also, I left highlighted and texted instructions to leave all doors closed and locked. I ws notified, while on vacation, that the back door was left open when sitter was not home. We have a dog door in the back door and the temperature was 40 degrees out. Front door was left unlocked as well when sitter was out. Ava was very friendly and I hate leaving a poor review, just want to share our experience. Unfortunately we have lost trust and for these reasons we will not be using her again.

Ava did a great job of looking in on my dogs while I was out, giving me peace of mind while I was on vacation.

So thankful to have Ava while we were out of town! She took very good care of our sweet boy! Will be using her services again in the future 🤩

Ava was wonderful. Perfect match for what I needed. She was always on time, followed all instructions, kept everything spotless, and sent daily updates and pictures. I now have a sitter that I can trust and absolutely will be using her in the future. I would highly recommend her as your next pet sitter.

Pros and Cons of booking Ava: 1. Dog poop stuck in robotic vacuum cleaner - we found out after returning and vacuum cleaner started smearing dog poop all over wood floors 2. Dried dog pee on floor 3. Burnt food on pot left in dishwasher - trying to salvage pot 4. Cat litter box filled with cat poop 5. Picked up four bags of dog poop in backyard 6. Had grocery items delivered to house and they were missing when we returned home 7. Left house before we return from vacation and took my car, house, office and mailbox key with her 8. No water in dog bowl in backyard 9. Two pairs of our slippers and a dog towel found in dryer 10. Cat litter found in dog water bowls in laundry room 11. Dirty and dried dog food stuck on all dog bowls left on laundry room counter - did not wash dog bowls 12. Did not bring in mail the entire week - left in mailbox 13. Dried dog poop in office 14. Found a roll of toilet paper in my first floor home office - not sure why she had toilet paper in my home office 15. Did not feed or medicate dogs on last day 16. Dog gate off hinge and had to have it repaired 17. After returning home from vacation, my husband spent the day trying to remove the clogged dog poop and repair vacuum (vacuum is still not working), picking up bags of dog poop in backyard, filling massive holes that were dug in our backyard from dogs, and repairing the broken hinge on dog gate. 18. After returning from vacation I spent the day scrubbing dried dog pee and poop on hardwood floors, cleaning out litter box, scrubbing and washing off dried food on dirty dog bowls, washing dogs beds covered in dog pee and poop, and attempting to repair pot with burnt food around entire pot. Note: before we booked Ava, she came over to meet pups. I spent time with her walking in every room of house and backyard going over each item to do for the 8 days we were gone ***Typed a detailed schedule with dates and times to complete such as feeding, water, meds, picking up poop, cleaning litter box, etc. for the 8 days to complete while we were gone. Ava DID NOT follow instructions or complete dog care tasks while we were gone. - Disappointed Ava took items with her from our home (new bottle of vanilla coffee syrup, new box of Splenda - this is what we know of, so far). - Disappointed Ava took my car, home, office and mailbox keys home with her. Pros: 1. Ava showed up shortly after we left for our vacation- so the pups and cat weren’t alone too long 2. Asked first before a friend came over to our home on a Friday night 3. She sent photos a few times with brief updates about our dogs 4. She did drop off my keys she took home along with the mail by our front door later on during the day after she left. NOTE: I haven’t gone upstairs yet (we live on first floor - only guest bedroom and my husband’s home office is upstairs) where our guest bedroom is located to see if anything was taken, destroyed or the state she left it in - I am too distressed over the state of the first floor of our home and yard - will share more later, after I go upstairs.
