Hello! My name is Ava, and I'm new to Rover though certainly not to pet care! I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, so I'm lucky to have grown up with a family who owned both cats and dogs, teaching me the responsibilities of pet care from a very young age. Additionally, I spent 3 years throughout highschool and into college employed as a supervising kennel attendant at a dog and cat boarding facility. In this role, I learned so much about the patience, attention-to-detail, compassion, and dependability required for pet caretaking, and can say with confidence that these assets have stuck with me and now shape the way that I care for my own pet, Mickey :) I've had the opportunity to work with dogs and cats of practically all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments. I am also experienced in administering medications, caring for pets with seizures, and faciliating pet socialization! I understand how difficult it can be to leave home and trust your fur baby with someone new.
