***💕🐱Only accepting cats for house sitting at this time🐱💕*** I was an animal care attendant at the BCSPCA for 2.5 years, so I have lots of experience with dogs, cats and everything in between! Before that, I was an animal care expert at Bosley's! I've completed all required module work for both positions. During my time at the BCSPCA, I gained lots of hands-on experience administering medication (oral, topical, subcutaneous), and I've learned lots of tricks and strategies along the way! I'm also very good at reading animal body language and have experience with seniors, kittens, puppies, and special-needs animals! For dog walks, I’m happy to walk or run!

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet must have up-to-date vaccinations and identification tags. In addition, I'd appreciate a descriptive outline of the tasks expected of me, vet contact information, and emergency contact information. I absolutely understand that some pets struggle with behaviour challenges, as do most humans (haha)! For the safety of myself and others, I still need assurance that your pet is well-trained and/or that any behavioural difficulties are actively being addressed.

Ava is a gem and made my first Rover experience so easy and comfortable. My cat is a bit older with some medical needs. Ava is experienced, asked a lot of great questions, and and was very communicative. I received lots of pictures, and returned to a happy and relaxed little animal. So grateful for you!

Ava took such good care of our big, anxious one year old golden doodle Wally. He is reactive around new people but Ava handled him with ease. This was the first time we used a sitter, and Ava took the time to meet with us before we left on our trip. While we were away, Ava’s communication was great. She’d send photos and updates, and it was clear that she was going the extra mile to make our dog feel comfortable and loved. Unfortunately he had some medical issues while we were away but we felt completely confident in Ava’s management of the situation. Ava left our house spotless and was very flexible with her departure time when our return flight was delayed. We would book Ava again in a heartbeat; and would highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone conscientious, responsible and caring to look after your fur baby!

Schedule
My schedule is a bit random, but I'm flexible and will try my best to move things around (as long as you’re within a 4km radius, as I don’t have a car)! I’m a university student, volunteer, occasionally babysit, and work 1-2 days per week (8 hours at a time).
