My schedule is a bit random, but I'm flexible and will try my best to move moving things around (as long as you’re within a 4km radius, as I don’t have a car)! I’m a university student, occasionally babysit, and work 1-2 days per week (8 hours at a time). ****I’ll be taking courses this summer, one of which is everyday from June 4-22nd from 9am-11:50pm @ UVIC****

Safety, trust & environment

It is a must that your dog has updated vaccinations and identification tags (and is ideally microchipped). Besides that, I'd appreciate a descriptive outline of the tasks expected of me that your dog is well trained and any behavioural difficulties are actively being addressed and mitigated by the pet parents.

Information Ava P. would like to know about your pet

If they have any special needs, if they are reactive towards anything, likes and dislikes, medication needs, medical conditions, if they require a certain duration of walk, and if they have specific feeding times.

A typical day

Mental and physical enrichment are very important for your pets! Long walks in forested areas and parks with lots to smell is a big priority for me. Time spent at home will also be enriching! I'm happy to spend one on one time brushing, petting, reading aloud, cuddle time and putting together treat puzzles!

We absolutely loved Ava! She looked after my dog for 5 hours until late into the night (2:30 AM). My dog was thrilled with her and had a great time. Thank you so much for being so responsible and caring!🫶🏻

Ava took such good care of our big, anxious one year old golden doodle Wally. He is reactive around new people but Ava handled him with ease. This was the first time we used a sitter, and Ava took the time to meet with us before we left on our trip. While we were away, Ava’s communication was great. She’d send photos and updates, and it was clear that she was going the extra mile to make our dog feel comfortable and loved. Unfortunately he had some medical issues while we were away but we felt completely confident in Ava’s management of the situation. Ava left our house spotless and was very flexible with her departure time when our return flight was delayed. We would book Ava again in a heartbeat; and would highly recommend her if you’re looking for someone conscientious, responsible and caring to look after your fur baby!
