Hi! My name is Ava and I'd love to give your pup a safe and stress free place to stay (or come to you). From my own experience owning animals (including horses!) I can administer medications, groom, and work with dogs of all temperaments. I can also help with crate/potty training. My schedule is extremely flexible as I am an online student and am home majority of the day. That being said I’m able to take care of your dog, feed/walk, and give snuggles as much as you'd like. I live in a large apartment complex with tons of open area and am within 5 minutes walking distance of miles of paved trails that run through Hamden... so exercise and outdoor breaks are frequent! I also like to take my own pup to Edgerton Park in New Haven quite often, especially in the warmer months. This park is perfect to get some exercise in and swim if they are up for it. I keep a tidy home, but the animals are allowed on furniture along with my own, unless that's something owners do not implement at home. Gia is extremely friendly with all animals and people... so she'll have no issue playing/sharing her toys or letting your pup relax if they're not as social. Fresh water is always accessible and I feed according to owner instructions. When I'm away, it's important that I know Gia is taken care of & comfortable. I'm happy to update you with pictures daily, call/text or even Facetime to show you how your dog is doing and reacting to a new environment. I would love to have the opportunity to take care of your dog as I would my own, if there is anything more I could do to make you or your pup feel more comfortable please don't hesitate to ask! I'm more than happy to accommodate and make their stay as perfect as possible. Ava I’m currently taking online courses and working from home, so I have the flexibility to take care of your pup whether it be from my home or yours. Unfortunately I’ve since moved and don’t have a fenced in yard anymore, however I do have several parks (regular & dog) as well as walking areas in the neighborhood so I can accommodate while your dog stays with me. As far as my clients home, it’s my job to follow their wishes for their animals… and feel secure knowing they will get the upmost care and affection from me.

Wonderful experience with Ava! She's a terrific and reliable house sitter, and took great care of our kiddos while we were away. You can tell from meeting her that she's got a huge heart. She's already lined up for the next time we go away.

Ava was incredible! She was super helpful in getting Reagan her meals every night, she gave Reagan a ton of love and affection, and she was incredibly communicative with lots of messages and pictures. I would not hesitate to leave Reagan with Ava again, cannot recommend her enough!

Schedule
I work remote in the fitness industry & have plenty of time to devote to your pups as I focus largely on rover and can complete my work anywhere.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard and a friendly bulldog that would love to keep your pup company. I can crate if necessary to ensure safety when I am not in the house, but that is up to the owner and their preferences. I am happy to accommodate to whatever that may be!
Pets
A typical day
Parks, dog parks (if OK), swimming, fetch, hide and seek (Gia is learning quite well!) and other activities to keep your pups focus.. I am very receptive to what an owner wants me to do/not to do with their animals.
