Hi there! My name is Ava. I’m originally from Tampa, Florida, and I’m currently stationed at Fort Meade. Since I live in the barracks and can’t have pets of my own, I joined Rover to get my much-needed animal therapy 😄 I’ve grown up around dogs and cats (plus a few other furry and not-so-furry friends) my entire life, and I’ve been pet sitting for others since I was 16. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I truly miss my fur babies back home. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely love spending time with animals of all kinds. I’m really looking forward to meeting you and taking great care of your pets!

We "reserved" Ava for a trip we're taking in May. We had an opportunity for a "trial run" with her for the overnight stay Feb. 7-8. We had a meet and greet with her the weekend before our overnight. We were anxious to meet and get to know Ava. Not only were we leaving our precious Finn with someone we really didn't know, we were also leaving her in the care of our home. You know how there are people you meet for the first time and you just click? This is how we felt about Ava. From the moment she walked into our home for the meet and greet, it felt like we'd known her for quite a while--comfortable, friendly and easy going. Finn felt the same as he went right to her and was comfortable the whole time Ava was here. We left her with Finn and the house for the night, knowing both were in good hands. We were right. Finn greeted her at the door and didn't seem "sad" to see us go. We got texts from Ava and a picture to let us know all was well. When we got home, it didn't look like anyone had been here. She cared for our home as she cared for Finn. We look forward to having Ava return in May--and probably before that as well. She's wonderful!

Ava was an amazing pet sitter. She was very responsible, attentive to my two dogs and five cats. All my animals loved her. She would take care of them as they were her own. When she entered my home, my dogs were so happy to greet her. My home was kept very neat and clean, and if the animals had an accident, Ava would take care of it. I never came home to a mess. I am sad because she no longer can pet sit because she lives far away from me, but I have the next best pet sitter, her brother Luke. You will no regrets having Ava as your pet sitter.
