I have been caring for dogs for over 20 years, and had a business running my own daily poochie playgroup and doing home boarding in the Old Town area of Alexandria, VA since 1998. I moved to the Charlottesville area and am missing all my furry friends. Now I am available for walks, home visits and house sitting in your home with my dog Badger<3 I love taking walks and Badger is a great doggie companion for your pooch while you are away! I've also taken care of bunnies, ferrets, horses...you name it I'm a big animal lover! I have even started friends in other areas of the country on their own dog sitting businesses Very successfully, i might add! I would love for your dog to become a part of my pack <3

I am so thankful to have found Ava on Rover.com! She’s very knowledgable, having had her own dog care business before moving to Floyd. She’s super prompt in her responses, agreeable regarding special requests (a drop-in visit on Thanksgiving Day!!) and her love of animals is quite obvious in her interactions with our poodle-mix, Bug. She sent photos and a video clip immediately after her visit, which enabled us to continue enjoying our holiday while away from home. In addition to all that, Ava is just a lovely person, warm and personable and easy to be around. I couldn’t be more pleased that she lives around the corner from us, as I know we’ll be getting together again!

Ava was fantastic. She took incredible care of our two dogs as well as our house. Its cleaner then when we left! She is very knowledgable about dog behavior and also very calm. She was wonderful about sending texts and videos while we were away which makes being on vacation so much easier - I highly recommend!
You'll love Ava almost as much as your pup will! She's a fun and funny freespirit who knows her way around critters. She ran a puppy playgroup for many years in Alexandria, entrusted by many with keys to their place (including me!), providing quality time for our best buddies to get attention, exercise, and socialization during the day. Highly recommended!
Ava is one of the very few people that I would leave my beloved dog with. She's loving, brilliant, caring & completely responsible. She totally loves dogs & wants your dog to be treated like one of her own. Who are spoiled & happy, by the way. She's also a genuinely awesome individual. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

i have restrictions for dogs boarding in my home under 40lbs only non-shedding dogs only no excessive barkers please dogs that fit into these guidelines get to sleep in my bed and are allowed on furniture
