To properly care for a client's pet in their home, there are a few key steps to follow. First and foremost, it's essential to establish clear communication with the client, ensuring you have all the necessary information about the pet's routines, dietary needs, medical history, and any specific instructions. When at the client's home, provide a safe and comfortable environment for the pet, ensuring their access to fresh water, nutritious food, and a clean living area. Regularly engage in exercise and playtime to keep the pet physically and mentally stimulated. Lastly, administer any required medications or treatments as instructed, while also keeping a close eye on the pet's overall well-being and promptly informing the client of any concerns or changes in behavior.
Information Ava H. would like to know about your pet
When dog sitting, it's crucial to have important information about the dog to provide proper care. This includes their daily routines, feeding schedule, dietary restrictions, and any medications they require. Knowing their medical history, including allergies or specific health conditions, is vital. Understanding their behavior, temperament, and any known triggers or fears helps create a safe and comfortable environment. Additionally, having contact information for their regular veterinarian and the owner's emergency contact is essential in case of any unforeseen situations.
A typical day
Some fun activities might include playing fetch in a fenced yard and providing interactive toys for mental stimulation. Regarding walks, it would depend on the location and the specific dog's needs, but I am always open to walks around a neighborhood or nearby park.

Pet care experience
What sets me apart from other pet sitters is my diverse and extensive background in animal care. With experience working in clinics, vet hospitals, rescue centers, shelters, I have gained valuable knowledge about the specific needs and behaviors of various animals. Including dogs, cats, exotic mammals, birds, reptiles, and small ruminants. I am also a current vet student at LSU school of veterinary medicine, which has further enhanced my knowledge and experience in animal care. Additionally, my years of caring for my own pets have provided me with experience handling different breeds and understanding their unique personalities. My experience and my genuine love for animals, ensures that I provide exceptional care and attention to each furry, feathered, or scaled friend entrusted to my care.
