Caring for pets, whether in your own home or a client’s home, involves a combination of regular attention, proper feeding, exercise, grooming, and emotional care. Here’s a breakdown of how I might approach pet care depending on the service I offer: 1. Pet Sitting (In Client’s Home or Own Home) • Feeding: Follow the pet’s regular feeding schedule and adjust based on dietary needs or special instructions from the owner. • Exercise: Ensure that pets get enough physical activity through walks, playtime, or other engaging activities. • Grooming: Brush pets regularly to maintain their coat and avoid matting (especially for long-haired breeds). Bathe them as needed, depending on the breed and the owner’s preferences. • Health & Safety: Monitor the pet’s health for any changes, such as a decrease in appetite, lethargy, or signs of illness. Administer any medications as directed by the owner. • Companionship: Provide attention, playtime, and comfort to ensure the pet doesn’t feel lonely or anxious. This might include cuddling, talking to them, or simply being around. • Cleaning: Ensure the pet’s living environment is clean, including regularly changing litter boxes for cats or cleaning up after dogs. 2. Dog Walking • Exercise: Provide regular walks to ensure that the pet gets the necessary physical and mental stimulation. The duration and intensity of the walk depend on the breed, age, and health of the dog. • Safety: Ensure the dog is safe during walks by using a sturdy leash, avoiding busy traffic areas, and monitoring for any signs of discomfort. • Playtime: If there is time, include some interactive play (e.g., fetch or tug-of-war) during the walk to engage the dog mentally. 3. Pet Boarding (In Your Home) • Comfort: Provide a safe, comfortable space with a designated sleeping area, food, and water station. • Socialization: If appropriate, allow pets to socialize with other animals (especially if they are accustomed to it). • Routine: Keep the pet on a similar routine as they would have at home, with regular meals, walks, and bathroom breaks. 4. General Tips for Pet Care • Communication: Keep the pet owner updated regularly on their pet’s well-being, sharing any observations, concerns, or funny moments. • Emergency Preparedness: Know where the nearest vet is and be prepared for any emergencies, including having a list of the pet’s medical details and contact information. By focusing on the pet’s specific needs and preferences, both physical and emotional, I can ensure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for.

A typical day
Hi! I’m Ava, and when your dog is with me, they’re part of the family. A typical day starts with a nice morning walk to get out any energy and soak in some fresh air. I love going for walks, so we’ll take our time exploring the neighborhood or hitting a local park if they enjoy car rides. Throughout the day, your pup will get plenty of attention, cuddles, and playtime based on their energy level and personality. Whether they love a good game of fetch or just want to nap by my side, I’m there to make sure they’re happy, relaxed, and safe. Meal times and potty breaks are always on schedule, and I keep you updated with pictures and notes along the way. I’m dependable, loving, and flexible with your dog’s unique needs. Whether you need someone for a day or a few nights, I’ll be with your pup as much as you need.

Ava is so great with my 2 dogs! She treats them like her own with great communication with updates and pictures! I would recommend her to anyone

We ❤️ Ava!

Ava continues to be amazing with our dog! He’s had some health issues, and she’s been super patient and gentile with him as well as patient with us through quite a few schedule changes due to vet visits.

So happy to have Ava care for our disabled elder dog, Pearl! She loves you, Ava! So do we! 🩷🩷🩷
