Pet care experience
I am available for pet-sitting and dog-walking in the Rutherford County Area! I grew up on a small farm, and lived with dogs and cats all my life. I currently am the pet parent to one spoiled Netherland Dwarf rabbit named Patchouli, and I help my parents care for their three dogs, three cats, and two goats. In the past, I have worked at a doggy daycare/kennel, a pet vaccination clinic, and have volunteered at two veterinary clinics and a wildlife rehabilitation center.
Reviews
Autumn did a great job house sitting and caring for our three dogs for a week. Izzy, Roxi and Riley are very sweet but require care and attention. Izzy is the most high maintenance, she is a 5 year old Brussels Griffon and needs medication 7 times a day. Roxi is our 12yr old Min Schnauzer and has some special dietary needs and Riley is our two year old Lab with a lot of energy. Autumn took care of all of their needs and contacted me if there were any issues to discuss. She followed all of the advice we gave her on managing the dogs. In addition the home was in good order when we returned. I can recommend Autumn for house sitting and dog sitting for all types of dogs.

Safety, trust & environment
I am very attentive to pets' body language and signals. I am very gentle with pets and consistently allow them time to get to know me and feel comfortable. I will request information about each pet's comfortablity with other humans, pets, and separation from owners, and plan accordingly.
Information Autumn C. would like to know about your pet
I really need an honest explanation of yout dog's comfortablity level with other dogs and animals so I can navigate which areas to walk them and how to navigate their interactions. I also need to know your dog's comfortablity with new humans, as well as any separation anxiety they have. I need to know if a dog has any special needs, and would like to know their vaccination history to insure that they are up to date on vaccines for zoonotic diseases. I also would need pet parents parents to be aware that I do work full-time at a dog hotel, and while the dogs there are generally healthy and required to be vaccinated against common diseases of dogs (e.g. rabies, distemper/parvo, bordetella), a small risk of spread is still present, especially to immunocompromised and unvaccinated pets. If there are concerns, I need to know if there are any issues o I can take measures to reduce exposure to your pets (e.g. showering/changing after work before coming into your home, etc.)
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks, and to play with dogs in a safe setting. I will look up parks in the area for dogs who like to be active. I love to use toys to provide enrichment for dogs, and I'm also down to cuddle with less active dogs.
