My schedule is incredibly flexible, and honestly the best parts of my day are when I get to look after animals! I work nights which means I’m available all day to watch your pets :)

I prefer to take care of animals in their home, not only out of convenience to the owner (not having to lug all of their food, toys, beds, litter boxes, crates etc) but because I find it to be a lot less stressful for our pets. There we can maintain their usual routine a bit better while their person/people are away, and they’re surrounded by the scents and sounds of home. When I do take care of them, I like to take the time to make sure your pet is comfortable and that their needs are met and then some (food, play & enrichment, affection, potty breaks/clean litter, etc). I love getting any details on what your preferred care is, even if you think it’s silly or too particular! I know that before Rover and before I started pet/house sitting, as an owner I know I was worried that I was asking for too much or inconveniencing the person watching my pets. But now being on the other side, I want to know anything and everything so that when you come home your pets aren’t just fed but happy and well looked after!

Some things that I always find helpful to know ahead of time are any commands/tricks/training, and what your usual routine is like with your pets. I also love hearing any silly anecdotes about them and what their personalities are like, where they like to be petted, favorite toys or treats :)
A typical day
During walks, I love to not only get in exercise but make sure we’re taking time to stop and sniff the roses :) While not a trainer by any means, I love being able to work with the owners to help further any training during walks and house sitting, and I definitely have experience with reactive dogs both as a sitter and growing up with my own pup. With cats, on top the typical care tasks, I always make sure to get at least 15 minutes or play in and giving them opportunities to be their silly, goofy selves :).

Pet care experience
I take pride in my attention to detail, patience, respect, and overall care I exhibit towards all animals I meet - even if they’re a bit grumpy or wary of strangers. While I’m new to Rover, I am definitely not new to taking care of cats and dogs and other creatures! I’ve had pets since I can remember, and now as an adult I have intentionally taken them time to grow and learn (and unlearn) the best practices when it comes to taking care of animals - with training (I have successfully clicker trained adult cats!), animal behavior, and how to provide a loving & enriching environment for our silly little creatures :)

Autumn always does an amazing job with my senior Boston terrier Hank! I can truly enjoy my time away knowing he’s well taken care of.
As always, Autumn did a great job taking care of my girl Mabel and made me feel safe and comfortable leaving Mabel’s care in her hands. She took such good care of the house too and kept me informed of everything going on. She is so thoughtful and always goes above and beyond!
Autumn is the best! Banksy loves his visits and play dates. He’s always a very happy boi after Autumn stops by.
