We had such a wonderful experience with Austyn watching our cats! We specifically chose her because she had experience with cats and described herself as a cat person. We really wanted someone who was comfortable with cats and genuinely understood them, and Austyn absolutely lived up to that! She was incredibly reliable, attentive, and thoughtful throughout our time away. We booked 1-hour visits twice a day, and she was always very timely and actually stayed longer than the full hour each time. She followed all of the instructions we left for our cats perfectly and went above and beyond in so many little ways. She even took the time to hand-wash our cats’ dishes rather than simply putting them in the dishwasher, which was more than we had asked her to do. She also took so many great photos during each visit, which we loved seeing while we were away and gave us peace of mind that our cats were happy and doing well. Most importantly, our cats absolutely loved her and warmed up to her right away! They were happily snuggling with her during her visits, which made us so happy to see. Austyn was also very respectful of our home and made us feel completely comfortable and confident leaving our cats in her care. We would absolutely book her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, responsible, trustworthy, and genuinely cat-loving sitter!

Austyn has had a passion for animals since she was two. For many years she fostered puppies and kittens for both the Humane Society and Ecats Vet clinic. She bottle fed them, cleaned up after them, bonded and socialized them and prepared them for adoption. In college she continued this practice. Austyn is organized, reliable, trustworthy, and truly adores animals, especially cats. She will take good care of your fur babies.

Austyn invited me to write a testimonial for her so that she can begin to care for cats more often. I laugh when I think about this because when I met Austyn I avoided cats at all costs. In my past I had bad experiences with the little furballs and so was afraid of them. She quickly introduced me to her cat Lola and also interacted with cats of others in ways that helped me to learn that they’re not scary and are actually very cute. Austyn has had cats around her entire life. She shows me pictures of her as a small child w cats more often than she needs to. She has her own cat who she cares about so much. I have had the privilege of playing with, feeding, and even taking care of Lola when Austyn has been on vacation following her very specific directions. Knowing her as I do, Austyn wouldn’t just go to check on a cat if the role was reversed and she had to come check on mine. She would adorn it with attention, treats, playtime, cuddles, or whatever the cat shows it needs at that time. She would be genuinely excited to go help someone out and spend time with their little cat and would give it the same attention and care she gives her Lola. If you are looking for a pet caregiver I really do think Austyn is the best you’ll find. I can’t think of any friend of mine I would recommend before her. She does love dogs too.
