I have a lifetime of experience caring for dogs and cats, plus hands-on work with orphaned wildlife in South Africa. I’m skilled in puppy training, cat training, administering medication, and giving patient, loving care to pets of all ages. My goal is always to make animals feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their families are away.

I create a calm, safe, and loving environment for every pet in my care. At my home, dogs and cats have access to a clean living space, plenty of natural light, and a secure backyard for supervised outdoor time. I monitor pets closely, keep their routine consistent, and always follow any feeding, medication, or training instructions you provide. For safety and individualized attention, I only host 1–2 pets from the same family at a time. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I respect your space, maintain your pet’s familiar routine, and provide frequent updates so you always feel informed and comfortable. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities.

I highly recommend Austen for pet sitting and dog walking! She has cared for my pets multiple times while I traveled, staying overnight and giving them plenty of love and attention. She is responsible, trustworthy, and truly has a heart for animals. My pets adored her, and I always returned home knowing they’ve been well cared for.

Austen has watched our dog Bruce multiple times now, and we keep begging her to come back! Bruce is cared for and loved on the entire time we are gone. Austen is always great about sending photos so we get to see our precious boy, and we feel happy and safe knowing that Bruce is in loving hands. We highly recommend Austen for your pet care needs!
