I create a calm, safe, and loving environment for every pet in my care. At my home, dogs and cats have access to a clean living space, plenty of natural light, and a secure backyard for supervised outdoor time. I monitor pets closely, keep their routine consistent, and always follow any feeding, medication, or training instructions you provide. For safety and individualized attention, I only host 1–2 pets from the same family at a time. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I respect your space, maintain your pet’s familiar routine, and provide frequent updates so you always feel informed and comfortable. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my highest priorities.

A typical day
A typical day with me includes a mix of fun, enrichment, and relaxation. We’ll go on sniff walks around my peaceful neighborhood, explore nearby nature trails or parks, and play games that keep your pet mentally and physically stimulated. Indoors, we follow your pet’s usual routine — whether that means cuddle breaks, puzzle toys, structured playtime, or cozy naps. I tailor every day to your pet’s personality and energy level so they feel happy, secure, and understood.

Pet care experience
I have a lifetime of experience caring for dogs and cats, plus hands-on work with orphaned wildlife in South Africa. I’m skilled in puppy training, cat training, administering medication, and giving patient, loving care to pets of all ages. My goal is always to make animals feel safe, comfortable, and happy while their families are away.

I highly recommend Austen for pet sitting and dog walking! She has cared for my pets multiple times while I traveled, staying overnight and giving them plenty of love and attention.
