I was raised in a household full of cats, dogs, rats, birds, and rabbits, most of whom were rescues. So already I had lots of practical experience caring for baby animals and seniors, animals with health issues, animals with behavioral issues, you name it! Complicated feeding schedules, regular walks, medicating, bathing, command training, and navigating defensive behavior are all things I have experience with. As an adult I've continued to live with and seek out animals, and have been entrusted with the fur-babies of countless friends. Something I don't take lightly! My proudest recent accomplishment was befriending my mom's highly-reactive/territorial dog, who's prone to biting and lots of barking. By my third stay with my mom, I had a huge break-through with the dog and we are now best friends! She slept and cuddled with me, obeyed my commands, and practiced new ones. That was such a satisfying animal journey. I'm always honored when I earn a new animal's trust!
