Hi, I'm your pet's new best friend!
I was raised in a household full of cats, dogs, rats, birds, and rabbits, most of whom were rescues. So already I had lots of practical experience caring for baby animals and seniors, animals with health issues, animals with behavioral issues, you name it! Complicated feeding schedules, regular walks, medicating, bathing, command training, and navigating defensive behavior are all things I have experience with. As an adult I've continued to live with and seek out animals, and have been entrusted with the fur-babies of countless friends. Something I don't take lightly! My proudest recent accomplishment was befriending my mom's highly-reactive/territorial dog, who's prone to biting and lots of barking. By my third stay with my mom, I had a huge break-through with the dog and we are now best friends! She slept and cuddled with me, obeyed my commands, and practiced new ones. That was such a satisfying animal journey. I'm always honored when I earn a new animal's trust!

I am a highly responsible, safe, dependable person and will follow your guidelines to the letter if you choose to bring me into your home for house-sitting. I understand that bringing a stranger into your home to care for your pet is a high-stakes choice, and I strive to meet clients' expectations around the safety of their pet(s) and the sanctity of their home. I have a clean, safe apartment with two responsible roommates and a small open yard in which I can take care of your pet, in certain circumstances: -If it is a female cat, I'll keep her separated from my male cat who can be aggressive with females. -If it is a dog, I can take care of them during regular M-F business hours (one roommate is allergic to certain dogs)

Austen was really gracious with her time to meet with my mother who was new to using the service which allowed her to get comfortable with someone new working with her pet. Austen was really flexible with her schedule and kind in her interaction with the dog, we intend on using her again and on a regular basis.
Austen was so awesome with Billy! She really pays attention to the needs of your pet, and she provides great communication on what goes on while you’re busy or out of town. Would hire her again and feel relieved to do so.

Schedule
I'm currently working a 9-5 remote job, so my availability during regular business hours is a bit inconsistent. If there's a way that I can make your request work, I will! Outside business hours, I have a lot of availability. I can do: -one dog walk or home visit slot per day during regular M-F business hours -one dog walk or home visit slot per day during M-F evenings -multiple weekend dog-walk or home visit slots -priority given to weekly clients
