Hi my name's Austen I'm a dog person 👍
I’ve grown up around dogs and have cared for several throughout my life, including a dog who lived to 18, a Cocker Spaniel, and two Labradors. I’ve also looked after dogs through boarding and sitting and genuinely love spending time with them. I work part-time (around 15 hours a week), so I have plenty of time for long walks, play, and companionship—especially for dogs that don’t like being left alone. I enjoy taking dogs out for long walks (2 hours+ if needed) and giving them lots of attention. I have a fully fenced garden with free access to the outdoors, fresh water always available, and I carefully follow feeding routines set by the owner. Dogs are kept on a lead during walks unless the owner says off-lead is safe. I treat every dog as if they were my own and aim to provide a calm, safe, and caring environment.

Austen has been amazing with Mylo. Right from the start it was about making Mylo feel comfortable and offered a meet and greet to ensure it was the right fit. With Mylo being a nervous dog we was unsure but he has clicked with Austen and met all of Mylos needs - thank you so much! Already booked our next visit ☺️
Austen looked after Paddy really well and kept us updated the whole way through!
Austen is so good with our anxious Ruby and he is keen to make sure he knows what she and we need for her care. Definitely recommended.

Sadly this didn’t happen . Expensive weekend for us but will not be using Rover again .
This was Alfie’s first time staying with someone who wasn’t family. Throughout Austen sent regular photos and updates. Alfie is usually anxious with new people, but took to Austen straight away. So much so, he wanted to go back to his house when we collected him! Would definitely recommend and book Austen again. Thank you again for taking care of Alfie.

Schedule
Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I have plenty of time and flexibility to give pets my full attention throughout the day. This means regular walks, feeding on schedule, playtime, companionship, and supervision, without dogs being left alone for long periods. Caring for pets is my main focus, and I enjoy building my day around their needs.

I provide a calm, safe, and caring environment tailored to each dog’s needs. At my home, dogs have access to a fully fenced garden, fresh water at all times, and a quiet indoor space where they can relax comfortably. I follow all feeding routines, walking instructions, and care guidelines exactly as set by the owner. Dogs are always kept on a lead when out unless off-lead permission is given. I supervise dogs closely, keep doors and gates secure, and make sure they’re never left unattended for long periods. Whether in my home or the owner’s home, I treat every dog with care and respect, as if they were my own.
A typical day
A typical day is calm and relaxed, with early access to a secure back garden so dogs can come and go freely. They’re welcome to relax indoors too, including sofa time for pats and cuddles. Walks are a key part of the day. I enjoy long countryside walks, so high-energy dogs will get plenty of exercise. I’m confident handling strong dogs and can help improve lead manners using gentle guidance and treats. The day is balanced with walks, play, rest, and companionship so dogs feel happy, settled, and well cared for.
