Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my grandmother, a dedicated veterinarian, opened her home to cats and dogs in need—whether they required medical care, rehabilitation, or simply a safe place while waiting for a loving family. Under her guidance, I gained hands-on experience caring for animals of all breeds and ages. From feeding and nurturing kittens to training dogs, treating wounds, and providing attentive care for senior pets, I developed the skills and compassion needed to ensure every animal feels safe, loved, and well-cared-for. One of the most rewarding parts of this journey was working with Petco to find homes for the cats we raised. From bottle-feeding kittens to preparing them for adoption, we partnered with Petco to match these cats with the perfect families. Seeing them leave for their forever homes was always bittersweet but incredibly fulfilling. Some of my favorite memories include off-road adventures by the river, where the dogs could run, play, and explore. Every trip began with a cheerful, "Alright, load up!"—a phrase that never failed to spark wagging tails and excited barks.
