Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and have had dogs of my own since 2009. I currently have two Golden Retrievers and have done extensive training with them over the years, including agility and rally obedience. I’ve been caring for and boarding dogs for many years and understand that every dog comes with their own personality, routine and comfort level. Because I work from home, I’m able to be present throughout the day and give your dog plenty of attention, companionship and care. My biggest priority is creating a calm, loving family environment where your dog can settle in, feel comfortable and be treated like one of our own.

Aunika has been amazing with my dogs, and I can't recommend her enough. I have high-energy dogs with very different needs, including a powerful puller with an intense prey drive and a flat-faced bully breed that requires extra care and attention. She handles them with confidence, patience, and a great understanding of dog behaviour. It's not easy to find someone I trust with dogs like mine, but Aunika is incredible with them. They absolutely love her, and I always have complete peace of mind knowing they're in her care. Highly recommend! 🐾❤️

Aunika is a dog person. This doesn’t just mean that she loves dogs (which she does), she also knows dogs. She respects that each dog is different and has different needs and interests. She takes the time to get to know your pup. Her home is very welcoming and the perfect pup hangout with 2 super friendly goldens and a beautiful backyard space. Aunika has often taken care of my dog Gibby and he absolutely loves it! He comes home happy and tuckered out:).
There is no one else I would feel more comfortable leaving my dog with. Aunika is a true animal person and has a great understanding of dogs and how to ensure they feel good in their environment. Her two dogs, Gus and Henry, have excellent temperaments and love other dogs. My dog Lucy loves going to visit her besties! Thanks for being Lucy’s second home!
Finding someone I truly trust with my fur baby means everything to me. ❤️ My Frenchie has allergies and is on medication, so her care needs to be followed very closely. I can honestly say her medications and instructions are followed to a T. I have complete peace of mind knowing she is safe, loved, and cared for like family. I trust her completely with my baby and couldn’t be happier with the care she receives. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pet with genuine love and care. 🐾❤️
I could easily tell my 2 miniature poodles were in a kind and caring pet friendly home. Aunika and her family are pretty special. I truly hope Sunny and Robbie didn’t wear out their welcome so we can use their service again.

Schedule
I work from home, which allows me to be available throughout the day. I live with my husband, and our two (adult) children, so there is often someone around to keep our four-legged guests company. Our dogs are a big part of our everyday family life, and any dogs staying with us are welcomed and included just the same.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced yard and two friendly Golden Retrievers who are used to having other dogs around. Dogs are welcome to make themselves at home, and we can easily accommodate a crate if that’s part of their normal routine.

A typical day in our home is relaxed and flexible, with plenty of time outside in our fenced backyard, walks, playtime and hanging out together.

- Before your dog’s stay, I’d love to know anything that will help me make them feel comfortable and at home, including dietary needs or preferences, routines, and any behavioural accommodations. Since we have two dogs of our own, I prefer dogs who are friendly and play well with others. A meet and greet prior to booking is important to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone involved.
