My schedule is fairly flexible, and I am available outside of work hours to care for your animals! My daily routine typically consists of 2-3 walks.

I use positive reinforcement/a gentle approach to asking dogs to do what I'd like them to do! With my own dog, I've taught him what is expected of him, and always rework how I teach him things when he does not understand. I am very patient, and just love working through the process when it comes to walking or training!

I want to ensure your dog is as comfortable as possible with me and their environment.
A typical day
I love interacting with dogs through play and fun games while out and about! I like to use a dog-led approach to walking, and encourage exploration and lots of sniffing, as it's amazing mental stimulation for them. I will often use sniffing as a reward, too! And depending on your dog's needs for training or stimulation, I can focus on different things on any given walk. I'm happy to use my own long-line if you want to work on recall training, exploring large areas, or do a more traditional walk to work on loose leash walking. Whatever is best for your dog!

The most important things to know about my care: I always give my undivided attention to animals in my care and I; never leave dogs unattended in yards, even if it's just for a few seconds; never allow dogs to greet other dogs or people on walks unless you (the owners) explicitly tell me you would like your dog to greet others; always double check that any gear is secure and on properly before going out; always check that your animals have access to fresh water each time I visit; and ALWAYS consent check with your animals to be sure they are enjoying being pet/interacted with. Safety is paramount! I want to be sure your animals feel as comfortable and stress free as can be while being safe. I give my careful attention to any training procedures you have in place, but my policy is that I am only willing to apply positive reinforcement and/or force free methods to keep your animal and myself safe! Note before booking: please notify me if your pets eat a raw diet. Personal testaments: I have been using the Rover app to provide services to my clients for a year now! I am beyond grateful to all my clients for allowing me to care for their pets, and absolutely adore all of my returning clients. 🫶 I have a dog myself, and training him/exploring the world with him is one of my favorite things to do. You will often see us out training and exploring in CVNP! I go the extra mile to learn what I can about training and handling, and enjoy attending hours long webinars in my free time. We're currently learning how to "tattle" on wildlife and dogs when we're out walking! I've trained a really good recall, all basic commands, and have great management skills when it comes to excitability, especially when seeing other dogs.

Augusta was absolutely wonderful while watching our three cats during a recent trip to Nashville. She went above and beyond in every way—cleaning up spilled litter and food without being asked, and taking such great care of our babies. We loved the consistent daily updates with adorable photos and videos that truly put our minds at ease while we were away. Augusta followed every instruction perfectly and made sure each cat was comfortable and cared for.
