Pet care experience
My childhood was a petting zoo
Hi everyone :)) I'm an actor who recently moved to NYC, I'm really missing my pets back home, and would love to help care for yours! As someone currently observing the rising prices in EVERYTHING, I want to be able to negotiate my prices based on your budget. Growing up, my house never had fewer than three pets at a time, everything from dwarf hamsters to dogs and cats. That constant chaos taught me a lot, especially about introducing new pets to each other. I’ve learned that every animal moves at their own pace especially when meeting strangers, and I’m happy to meet them there. By the time I was a teenager, I’d become the go to pet sitter for my friends’ families, so I’m used to adapting to different homes, routines, and personalities. I’ll stick to your pet’s schedule, send updates and photos while you’re away, and treat their space like it’s my own. As a performer, my schedule is super flexible! I have plenty of daytime availability during the week plus evenings and weekends, so I’m easy to work around if you need care during weird hours, drop ins, or last minute care.

Ratings and reviews
August has been taking care of our Corgi for the last three days and did an absolutely amazing job. Extremely polite, courteous and very responsive. We got pictures almost every day to keep us updated. We’re very grateful and happy that we found such a great sitter and will definitely book again! Thank you so much!

August went above and beyond to help out my particularly anxious cat and I couldn’t be more grateful!

August has been my go-to caretaker for my two ESA cats Pig and Binx. He is very careful and kind to my animals, knows how to respect their space while ensuring they receive as much care and attention as they need. I have never had an issue, concern, or conflict with August's care for my cats. He is extremely communicative and is always willing to work around my schedule as much as possible. August overall is an 11/10 Rover. Thank you August, from Pig and Binx!
August took great care of my two kitties while I was camping up north! Their professionalism and friendliness made me feel assured in their ability to care for my babies. I typically cannot confidently trust anyone with my babies, but August demonstrated amazing communication, was super attentive, and made leaving my kitties behind so stress-free. Will most definitely be going back to August in the event that I'm out of town again.
August has been consistently walking and taking care of my Aussie Retriever Heidi on and off for the last 2 years and provided friendly, exceptional service every time. August always goes above and beyond to make sure my fur baby is taken care of and loved. From outdoor walks, to feedings, to overnight sitting, August has been an incredible per caregiver. One thing that really stuck out to me is August’s communication, always keeping me updated and providing consistent, fantastic service. Any pup would be lucky to have August show them love and care!!

Schedule
As a performer and freelancer, my schedule is always a little different from week to week allowing for lots of flexibility around you and your pets routines. Over the past few years I’ve been juggling school, performing, and a few jobs, this has really polished my time management skills to fit into what your pet care needs.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
The apartment is small and simple with access to a private patio, a grassy yard, and a roof deck. My place it self is small and simple, meaning a small and simple adjustment for your pet with room to explore that isn’t accessible to the public. My neighborhood contains a number of parks and shops to explore during walks too!
A typical day
A typical day with your pet can consist of loads of adventures around my neighborhood with quite a few parks and shops (please let me know if you have any park preferences)! When I go out I like to automatically avoid other pets whether this is a preference for you or not just to be safe. I prefer to adapt to your pets feeding schedule and working around what feels right to them. My childhood terrier mix had super strict eating schedules and environment requirements, so it was tough for her to eat enough when those things weren’t solidified. Because of this, no one’s going hungry under my watch! When I leave the house I like to put on some videos or music for the pets so it doesn’t get too stale. For the most part I would really appreciate your input on what your pet really loves so I can meet them there during what could be a stressful environment shift for them.

- Ahead of time, it would be super helpful to know about any medical conditions your pet may be experiencing. Alongside this, I also want to know about any meds to take, what vet you prefer, and/or a neighbor that’s nearby to notify if you aren’t available. Another important note is their reactivity/aggression history if any. And for every pet, I would really prefer to know their schedule and any other special preferences like favorite scratching/petting spots, least favorite scratching/petting spots, and eating environment. If there’s anything else please don’t hesitate to reach out. With information like this, too much is always better than not enough!
