I am Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) and a member of Pet Sitters International (PSI). My goals involve making a career working with and caring for animals, as I have studied and worked a variety of fields such as a animal sciences student, pet groomer, vet nurse, horse handler, volunteer/foster, and of course as a professional pet sitter. To put it simply, I have a deep love for animals and can't see myself living without them, so what better way to share my love than to care for your pets in the comfort of their own home?

About Audrey R.

Safety, trust & environment
I offer professional pet care services to pets in the comfort of their home when their owners are away for an extended period of time. Having a professional pet sitter is a great option to care for pets and maintain their care routine in their environment, which greatly helps reduce stress and minimize exposure to illness. Pet sitting also benefits the home keeping it in order and deters potential housebreaking, all while communicating daily reports and updates to the owner, giving peace of mind.
Information Audrey R. would like to know about your pet
Before booking, I would like to know how many pets would be under my care and if there are any training procedures or limitations I should be aware of and enforce. For example, what specific words and hand signals are used for training commands? Should I avoid letting pets jump on furniture or lick when they greet people? Are they allowed throughout their home or kenneled when left alone? As it is the owner's home, the owner's rules shall be applied to provide consistency for their pets. I would also like to be informed about any special needs the pets might have, such as medications or possible behavioral concerns (food aggressions, separation anxiety, temperament with other animals or strangers, etc.). Anything of the sort, please express it so I am aware and more understanding of their needs. I require all clients create a profile for each of pet. Please fill them out thoroughly and honestly with a current photo, updated care instructions, vet information, plus any special requirements they may have and so on. This way I will have an itinerary of the pets information I can refer to during my stay. I am completely against breed discrimination, so I have absolutely no breed preferences!

If a booking is not paid by the client within 72 hours of confirmation, I will put the request on waitlist to keep my Rover calendar updated until payment is made. • LAST MINUTE BOOKING FEE: If a service is requested 72 hours or less in advance, a fee of $10 will be added to the service. • VISIT POLICY: For any and all Drop-in Visit services where the client is out of town for more than one date, I require to check in on the pet(s) every 24 hours, i.e. one visit per day minimum. In other words, I will not accept inquiries that suggest I check in every other day or so, for the safety and wellbeing of the pet(s). • KEY POLICY: For safety and liability reasons, I will not hold onto clients spare keys outside of services. I recommend storing a spare key in a lockbox, installing an electronic lock on the front door, allowing access through a garage via code panel, communicating with concierge, or other secure options for me to access the home that I approve. • PARKING POLICY: For the security of having access to a car for pet emergencies and arriving to bookings on time, I require clients to guarantee a parking spot for me to use. Whether a permit pass for street parking, a lot space adjacent to or inside the building, etc., please be sure I can have access to park my car with little to no hassle. Any clients in areas with limited to no parking, or that require me to pay for parking, I will not accept the booking. If you have any questions or concerns regarding these policies, we can discuss these via messaging or during our Meet & Greet.

Pet care experience
Hello, my name is Audrey! I have grown up with pets my whole life, and started professionally pet sitting Summer 2007, caring for a variety of pets for family and friends, then joined Rover Fall 2014, establishing a clientele in northern Chicago. I currently work as a Vet Tech at a local vet clinic, and I currently volunteer and used to foster for a local humane society, caring for their cats at the kennel facility. I also worked part-time at a pet grooming salon where I bathed dogs and cats while tending to their needs, and at an equestrian center, handling horses and aiding the ranch hands. I currently have two lovely and affectionate ginger cats, Beast and Belle.
