I currently work at a dog training and boarding school, where I care for dogs of all breeds, ages, and temperaments. This role has given me valuable hands-on experience managing different personalities, reinforcing training, and ensuring dogs feel comfortable, safe, and well cared for in a structured environment. I’ve also grown up surrounded by animals and dogs, so caring for them has always been second nature to me. I currently have a Tibetan Terrier and a Red Fox Labrador, and I trained my own dog from a puppy through to adulthood, and now care for him in his senior years. This has given me hands-on experience with everything from puppy routines and basic training to adapting care for older dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. With two very different breeds, I’m comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and needs. Whether it’s long, active walks, structured playtime, reinforcing good behaviour, or calm companionship, I tailor my care to suit each dog individually. Animals are truly one of my biggest passions, and I treat every pet as if they were my own, with patience, reliability, and lots of love. I understand how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone, and I’m committed to providing a safe, happy, and reassuring experience for both pets and their owners. ✨ Certified in zoomies, sniff strategy & tactical treat deployment.

I look after pets as if they’re my own, giving them plenty of attention, playtime, walks and companionship. For pet sitting in their own homes, I’m very considerate and make sure to follow each dog’s routines closely, provide consistent care and keep their home tidy, including cleaning up after mucky pups! I always aim to make pets feel comfortable, happy and safe while their owners are away. Boarding at my home may be considered depending on the request, and I have a large fenced garden where dogs can safely run, explore and enjoy supervised play.

Athina is a fantastic dog sitter, very calm and capable and I would highly recommend her. She recently looked after our Husky cross who we rescued quite recently and who suffers from separation anxiety. We were therefore naturally apprehensive about leaving him for the first time but we needn’t have worried! Athina did a brilliant job, following our instructions carefully and keeping his routine the same for consistency. She is a real natural around dogs and I’m sure she could teach us a thing or two! We came back to a very happy dog. We will definitely use Athina’s services again!
Athina was great with our 5 month old puppy. Super knowledgeable and gentle! We booked her for a whole day of house sitting and felt very confident leaving her with our pup. She sent us plenty of photos and videos throughout the day and did an amazing job sticking to his routine. When we got back he looked like he had a great day! We will definitely book again!

I can highly recommend Athina and can guarantee your pet will be very well looked after. She is very reliable and has an amazing rapport with our dog. His behaviour can be a little challenging too so it is so reassuring to know that Athina is calm, confident and goes out of her way to make sure your pet is happy and cared for.

Schedule
I have a flexible schedule but work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays until 4:30, so I can spend plenty of quality time playing with your pups, going on walks, or just keeping them company. I love getting to know each dog’s personality so I can tailor their care to suit their individual needs, making sure they feel happy, safe, and loved while you’re away. I’m available both weekdays and weekends for walks or pet sitting and I always make sure every dog in my care gets the attention, care and companionship they deserve.

- Before caring for your pet, it’s really helpful for me to know about their routine, personality and any specific needs they may have. For example, their feeding schedule, walking routine, energy levels and whether they have any training cues they’re used to. I also like to know how they are around other dogs or people, if they have any anxieties or triggers, and anything that helps them feel comfortable and happy. The more I know about your pet beforehand, the better I can make sure they feel safe, relaxed and well cared for while you’re away.
