Hello! I’m a veterinary student with over 6 years of hands-on animal care experience, including working as a veterinary technician in both an animal hospital and veterinary clinic. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do on the side, it is what I’m training to do professionally. My veterinary background allows me to provide a higher level of care than the average sitter. I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring for subtle changes in behavior or health, and caring for senior pets, puppies, and animals with special medical needs. I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your pet, and my goal is to give you complete peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve also worked at a dog boarding facility, where I gained extensive experience with canine behavior, body language, and individualized care. This helps me tailor my approach to each pet’s personality, comfort level, and routine. In addition to my professional experience, I’m a dog parent myself. My dog Hermie had a wonderful time with Athena! In all the pictures she sent, he was grinning from ear to ear 😁🐶 She took him on many walks and made sure he was comfortable. Athena took great care of Hermie and we are excited to use her service in the future!
