Playing, giving them treats, and making sure they stayed within neighborhood bounds were a regular for my brother and me. I’ve also had the honor to house sit for a variety of dogs and cats. I’ve cared for the needs of senior cats to playful pups to independent rescues, to mischievous kittens. With this experience, I am happy to care for and get to know more of your beloved furred ones! … It is also a special interest of mine to do training for dogs. I believe in using Positive Reinforcement and loving gentleness when it comes time to handling animals. I’m currently working towards getting my CBATI-KA through Grisha Stewart’s Academy and becoming Fear Free certified. Athena is a very caring sitter, she will always take note of your little loved one's needs and will go the extra mile to secure medicine/essentials if needed while you are away. She always impresses with the lengths she will go to to find the most affordable and expedient route. I always feel at ease with her taking care of pets!
Athena watched my kitten Luke and did a fantastic job! She fed him on schedule, kept his litterbox clean, and played with him a lot and kept him very happy while I was travelling for a week!!! Definitely hire this very caring person!
Athena Chow has been a very reliable dog sitter for my mini-poodle mix dog, Bella. Athena is very gentle with Bella and takes her on lots of walks and does all that I have asked of her in taking good care of my dog. She has been very loving in her pet care. After she if gone from dog sitting for me, Bella continues to go into the bedroom where she slept looking for her. It is very sweet that Bella misses her so I know she has taken great care of her in my absence.

Safety, trust & environment
Your pet(s) and their personalities are the Star of the show! — Please let me know about your pet’s personal likes/dislikes, favorite toys, treats, any allergies, and/or particular preferences for comfort & joy. I also have experience administering medication, if needed and have experience (for both dogs and cats) with preparing supplements / added medicine to be mixed in with their meals. A personal side interest of mine is also doing training for dogs. So if your dog has any particular behaviors, you’d like to be worked on, let me know and we can work on tackling an issue together.
A typical day
I like to give dogs enrichment through healthy treats, fun games, or bringing them out to nearby dog parks or around nature sites. If your dog tends to be on the reactive side— please let me know, and I can be sure to keep interactions with other dogs minimal. For Cat, I love bringing out wand toys, lasers, treats, and cat nip.
