Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in a client’s home, we follow their usual routine as closely as possible to help pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. We take time to understand each pet’s needs—whether it's feeding schedules, medication, walks, or favorite toys—and provide consistent care, attention, and affection. I always make sure pets get plenty of exercise and playtime, and I keep the home clean and tidy, especially around feeding areas and litter boxes. I also provide regular updates, photos, and notes, so pet parents can feel at ease knowing their pets are happy and in good hands.

Information Asuka & Brian L. would like to know about your pet

It’s super important to get to know a pet's personality, preferences, and needs before diving into any activities. That way, you can tailor everything to make sure they’re safe and having fun. Here are a few key things we’d want to know ahead of time: 1. Temperament & Behavior: Are they shy, energetic, or laid-back? How do they typically react to new people or animals? Are they playful or more independent? 2. Exercise & Activity Level: How much physical activity do they need each day? Do they have a lot of energy, or are they more on the chill side? (For example, a high-energy dog will need more stimulation than a senior dog or a cat that enjoys lounging.) 3. Diet & Food Preferences: Any food allergies or sensitivities? What kind of treats do they like, and are there any they avoid? Do they need special feeding routines or diets? 4. Medical Needs: Do they take medication or have health issues that need to be monitored? Are there any recent health concerns to be aware of (like joint problems, digestive issues, etc.)? 5. Favorite Activities: Do they enjoy fetch, tug-of-war, or maybe a good puzzle game? Are they more into solo activities (like cat trees for cats) or group play? How do they feel about baths or grooming sessions?

A typical day

If we were to watch your pets, we’d definitely have a blast! Here are a few fun activities I’d plan: Interactive Play: we’d have a variety of toys on hand for fetch, tug-of-war, or hide-and-seek, depending on whether they’re more into chasing or problem-solving. For cats, laser pointers and feather wands are a must! Puzzle Games: Pets love to be challenged, so I’d use treat-dispensing toys for dogs or puzzle feeders for cats to keep their brains sharp while rewarding them with goodies. Outdoor Adventures: Depending on your pet’s energy level, we could go for a nice walk in the park, a jog, or maybe even a visit to a dog-friendly café or pet-friendly beach. Snuggle Time: After all the fun, we’d have a chill cuddle session on the couch or a cozy spot. Some pets really enjoy winding down with some quiet bonding time.
