I’ve been around dogs for most of my life. I grew up with my mini schnauzer, Chiky, who I had for 11 years and took care of from a young age. She was truly my best friend, and growing up with her taught me just how important dogs are in our lives, how much genuine, selfless love they give, and how much care and attention they need in return.

Astrid was an amazing sitter! We were nervous about leaving our puppy for the first time, especially for a vacation that was over a week long, but as soon as we met her, we knew both Pierogi and we were in great hands. She was incredibly communicative, sending us daily updates along with lots of photos and videos of our boy. Astrid was friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond by even helping set up a dog playdate with our next-door neighbor. She also left our home spotless!! We feel so lucky to have found someone like Astrid and have already booked her again for a future stay. Don’t hesitate to book with her you won’t regret it!

Schedule
I currently work a hybrid part-time job, so I’m home most of the time. Occasionally I have to go into the office, but it’s very close to home, so I’m still nearby and readily available. I’m flexible during the week for walks, drop-ins, and sitting, and I’m fully available on weekends!

I live in a top-floor apartment that’s very homey and cozy, with lots of natural light from skylights. While I don’t have a yard or balcony, I make sure dogs get the exercise and care they need through walks and playtime.
A typical day
A typical day depends on your dog’s energy level and routine! We’ll enjoy walks around my neighborhood, and sometimes we’ll head over to the Brooklyn Bridge Park piers for a longer stroll and some fresh air. If your pup enjoys playing with other dogs, I’m happy to take them to a nearby dog run (about 15 minutes away) for some social time. My family is usually home, so your dog will get plenty of love, attention, pets, and company throughout the day. And if they have a favorite toy, I’ll make sure to include it in our playtime.
