’m a dog lover at heart, with 10+ years of professional dog sitting and walking experience. We enjoy daily walks in beautiful Alaska nature, and my doggie guests truly get to have a “HAY DAY” here! 💕🗻☀️🐶😄 Our home is cozy, calm, and full of love — with comfy couches, plenty of doggie toys, and lots of gentle attention. My sweet doggie Buddy and the friendly Chihuahua in our household both enjoy the company of well-mannered, friendly furry guests who like to play, relax, or simply be part of the family during the day. 🐾 Our Guest Vibe (Important Please Read) Because we also have a Chihuahua here, and to keep everyone safe, relaxed, and happy, we now welcome: • Small to medium-sized dogs, or • Friendly, gentle “neighborhood dog” types (such as Labs, Retrievers, Poodles, mixes with similar temperaments) For everyone’s comfort, we are not a fit for dogs with: • Chasing instincts toward small dogs • Territorial, food-guarding, or toy-protective behaviors • High prey drive or rough play styles This helps us maintain a peaceful, loving, all-friends-together environment where every dog feels safe and cared for. 🏡 A True VIP Experience This is a kennel-free, home-away-from-home vacation or day-stay experience — not a high-volume boarding setup. I intentionally keep a small, compatible group so each dog receives calm attention, affection, and a family atmosphere. Astrid went above and beyond for our three pups, taking extra care to accommodate their special feeding needs, keeping them active, and ensuring they felt safe, loved, and comfortable the entire time. She was incredibly friendly, reliable, and had excellent communication—always quick to respond and consistently keeping us updated with the sweetest photos and videos. We could truly relax knowing our dogs were in such capable and caring hands. I couldn’t recommend Astrid more highly to anyone looking for a warm, trustworthy, and attentive sitter who treats your pets like her own!
My Dandi had such a great stay! Astrid is loving and attentive, her house is dog-friendly, and the back yard is a perfect place to romp. We will be back!

Astrid is a great dog sitter. Her love of dogs really shows in the great care she gave our dog, Gizmo. Her pets were welcoming and playful to him. He had lots of room to run around in her beautiful fenced back yard. She kept me updated with pictures of him throughout his stay. Highly recommend Astrid and I'll be using her services again when we're staying in the valley.
Astrid was great with our 13 month old puppy! We received texts and photos throughout the day and it was obvious our girl had a great day & lots of play time. She was tired and ready to come home, but not before running back to Astrid for one last hug. She was in good hands while we enjoyed a tour.

Schedule
I work from home, and take just a few doggies at a time (doggie sitting is my happy side gig) - so they get to have a home away from home experience that’s not overwhelming, but cozy, full of personal attention, love, and fun.

A typical day
I get up around 7 and begin work around 9, with a doggie walk around noon. I often work online, in the living room, right alongside the doggies, and otherwise in my office connected to it. Every so often, I like to take breaks and sit with the doggies, give them some love, and let them out.
