Animals are my niche!
Pet care experience
I have formal large group management and temperament training from Mountain State K9 Academy. I’ve learned how to read body language and act accordingly with animals I’m watching. I work very well with large groups of dogs, anxious animals or medically complicated pets. The most dogs I’ve ever watched at a time is 30; 15 adults and two litters of puppies!
Reviews
Astrid has been our #1, first-pick dog sitter for a long time and several trips. We and our dog, Teddy, adore her! When we return and Astrid leaves, Teddy follows her to her car as if to admit it is a lot more fun when Astrid’s there. She is reliable and goes extra miles while she’s here. She sends us photos of Teddy every day while we are gone. She knit Teddy a hat. She is the most attentive, caring, trustworthy dog sitter we have had. We highly recommend Astrid.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced in yard and a very calm dog that spends most of his day out of the house. I do have a cat, but he doesn’t enjoy interacting with animals and will hide when I’m gone. Your pet will have more than enough space while I’m at school to be free, and when I’m home they will have my full attention! In a clients home, I take notes on basic house maintenance things as well as owner preferences. I ensure that the pets still feel comfortable in their own home and have their space if they aren’t loving a stranger in their domain.

Information Astrid G. would like to know about your pet
-What time AM and PM feedings are -What they get fed -Eating habits (are they fast eaters or do they graze throughout the day, is skipping a meal normal, etc.) -Necessary medication information and bathroom habits (if they’re good about going outside or if they need routine enforcement to go out, if minimal bowel movement is normal or concerning, etc.) -Energy level and what helps calm them down -Triggers and general anxieties -Allergies
A typical day
I can play in any way; from tug of war to wrestling. If I’m going somewhere dog friendly (and your dog does well outside of the house) I usually take dogs with me. Routine walks and just sitting in the sun!

Availability
I am a full time student, but my classes do not interfere with am or pm feeding times. I am done with class everyday at 3:30 and have breaks in between that can be taken with your animals! My routine of going in and out is very easily adaptable depending on location and pet needs.
