Hello! I live in Nevada City and I would be honored to help care for your pets. I love connecting with fellow animal lovers and their pets. Because of my wonderful clients, pet sitting is my full time job. I have a year of experience working as a veterinary assistant and dog trainer, I have worked at multiple stables, and I have been a trusted pet sitter for many years. I have experience with dogs, cats, horses, chickens and rodents.I love spending time with animals and will honor their unique needs and personalities. I am energetic, caring, and reliable. As a pet-parent myself, I understand the importance of open communication when I am trusted to care for your furry friend. I will suit walks and visits to your pets' needs, whether that's a quick stroll around the neighborhood, a visit to a dog park, or a run through the woods. Because of my experience as a dog trainer, I am happy to work with dogs who are still learning appropriate behavior, as long as there are no aggression issues. I'm not squeamish and I won't hesitate to quickly clean up any messes should they arise. I pride myself in leaving your home the same, or even better than I found it! I’m also happy to assist with light household duties (watering plants, bringing in mail, trash duties, letting contractors in and out, etc). Please reach out with any questions!

When caring for your pet in your home, I will talk to you regarding their schedule and needs, and will create a plan which will allow daily routine to stay as stable as possible when you're gone. You will receive daily photo updates. Your dog will have my full attention when we go out on walks.
Ratings and reviews
Aspen did a great job with our little feline boy Charlie. We asked her to administer fluids for him as well why we were gone and she did a great job making sure to be careful and do what needed to be done. Our boy Charlie is a big scaredy cat and she was patient and careful to make sure he was safe and got what he needed. We will 100% be asking her to come back next time we go out of town. I booked Aspen for drop in visits for my two cats. She was very reliable and responsive and both my cats really liked her! She was also able to give my older cat his medicine which he does not like at all. Thanks Aspen!

We had Aspen stay at our house while we were on a family trip to Disneyland. I would highly recommend Aspen to care for your house and animals. She provided emotional and physical support to 2 cats and 2 dogs effectively. In addition, the house was spotless when she left. We will definitely use her again.
Aspen is amazing!!! Great attitude, wonderful with our dog, and easy to communicate with. She answered a Saturday morning request quickly (on a beautiful day, no less, when if I were her I would have been out on the river having fun), and showed up right on time. She also stayed a little late without any notice (we had unexpectedly lost cell signal so couldn't communicate for a bit), which was greatly appreciated. She was also great with Pepper, who tends to get very nervous in new places when she's left alone. Aspen brought a calmness that helped Pepper while we were away.

Schedule
I'm currently able to provide pet care full time, meaning I'm happy to provide frequent potty breaks and be at your home often during the day for housesits. I do babysit some days and evenings, so before booking, let me know how long your pet(s) are comfortable being alone and I can adjust my schedule accordingly.
