For the last 5 years, pet care has been a major part of my daily life. There are some weeks where I’m doing visits all day long for weeks on end. Being around pets brings me a lot of therapy and I love experiencing all their different quirks and qualities.

When I do drop-in visits, my goal is to make every pet feel safe, loved, and completely cared for while their family is away. I follow each pet’s routine closely. Mealtimes, litter box or potty breaks, medications if needed, and any special instructions you provide. During every visit, I make sure your pet gets plenty of attention, affection, and enrichment, whether that’s playtime, cuddles, brushing, or simply sitting with them so they feel comforted.

A typical day
For dogs that do well with it - my favorite activity to get their energy out is actually wrestling and teasing! For my calmer dogs or dogs that don’t like as much physical contact, I love to provide walks or enrichment activities to stimulate their brain. Your classic string and mouse toys (and springs!) is my go-to for cats!

I’m 20 years old and I have had a love for animals my whole life. I am experienced with cats, dogs, rabbits, and rodents, as well as being able to administer medication (injections, pills, transdermal, etc). I have worked at the local animal hospital for over 5 years, originally trained in boarding and now I am a part of the technicians department. I’m currently in college on the pre-vet track. Additionally, I have been pet sitting locally for the past 6 years.

Bliss loves Ashlyn! The walks are going well, truly gave me peace of mind that I can count on Ashlyn to take Bliss on a midday walk on my long work days. I get a picture each walk and I can see my pup is happy and cared for.
