I am currently a full time student, and I usually have classes on campus from 9 to 2 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Tuesdays, I work 7 to 5:30, which is my only long day. On Thursdays, I have class and then work from about 10 to 5:30 On weekends, my schedule is completely open, so I can spend even more time with your pet! My schedule changes each semester and I have “breaks” interspersed where I will work full time at the vet clinic, so shooting me a message is the best way to get an accurate idea of my schedule for your trip.

I have two cats of my own, Evie and Arlo. I am currently renting my house so I can't allow any other pets in. However, I have a car and am willing to stay where your pet is most comfortable: at your home! I have veterinarian-led training on animal behavior, medication administration, and even first aid and emergency care. My car can fit any sized dog and I always make sure to locate the nearest emergency clinic during my stays, as well as collect primary veterinarian information for your pet. I always triple check locks at my client’s houses and I’m comfortable with outdoor cameras and limited indoor cameras as long as they are disclosed to me.

Let me know if your pet has any special needs or medical conditions before my visit. I do not provide services for intact dogs over 2 years old or intact cats over 6 months old. I require a meet and greet before any services are scheduled. I am available to contact at any time during your service, but I automatically provide photos and full updates twice daily for stays under 5 days, annd once daily for stays over 5 days (unless otherwise specified). If your pet has certain fears or aggression over certain toys, behaviors, etc., that must be disclosed before or at the meet and greet so I can be prepared. Any bad habits that you'd like me to watch out for or specific training commands or requirements are also helpful for me to know!
A typical day
I'm willing to do whatever you'd like me to in order to keep your pet happy! We can go on walks or bike rides, play games, or just lounge around and cuddle (I always have homework that needs doing). I also know dozens of different redirection methods, entertainment tricks, and anything else we might need to keep your pet happy and stimulated. You know your pet best, so I'll follow your (or their) lead.

I have been working as a vet tech for almost 3 years now, which means I have extensive veterinarian-led training on how to keep your pet totally safe while you're away! I can administer medications (including injections like insulin), identify life threatening emergencies and intervene quickly, and I can expertly read even the most subtle of animal body language to predict exactly how your pet is feeling. I am also comfortable caring for critters other than cats or dogs, as I have a leopard gecko myself whom I adore! I have been pet sitting for over 10 years, though I grew up fostering dogs and with 4 of my own. I am a full time student, so I’m usually on campus starting around 8-9 am until around 5-7pm, depending on the day. I am available for overnight stays and I get weekends off. If you choose to give me the privilege of caring for your pet, you will not regret it! Animals are (and always have been) my entire life, and that's why I'm pursuing a career as a veterinarian after I graduate with my Bachelor's in biology. Until then, though, I just want to help give you peace of mind while you're away. You've never met anybody as in love with your pet as you are...until now.

Ashlyn was fantastic! She took such good care of my cat and my home. He is very shy but she made him comfortable enough to come out and play and cuddle!
