Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I structure my days so I’m home often and able to give dogs plenty of attention, playtime, and potty breaks throughout the day. Morning and evening are usually when I focus on walks, feeding, and outdoor time, with lots of check-ins and cuddles in between. Since caring for dogs is something I truly enjoy, I make sure they’re part of my regular routine so they feel comfortable, relaxed, and well cared for during their stay.

I focus on keeping pets comfortable by sticking as close as possible to their normal routine. In my home, dogs get plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, playtime, and a calm place to relax. I make sure they feel safe and at home while they’re here. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their feeding, walking, and care instructions closely so the pet’s routine stays consistent. I also send updates and pictures so owners can feel confident their pet is happy and well cared for.

Before watching a pet, it’s really helpful to know their normal routine, feeding schedule, and any medications or special care they may need. I also like to know about their personality, energy level, and how they do around new people or environments. Things like favorite toys, treats they like, and any habits or quirks are always good to know too. The more I understand about your pet ahead of time, the easier it is for me to make them feel comfortable and cared for while you’re away.
A typical day
I like to keep pets active and happy while they’re with me. We’ll spend time playing, going on walks, and getting plenty of outdoor time if they enjoy being outside. I also make sure there’s lots of attention, cuddles, and relaxed time so they feel comfortable and at home. For more active dogs, I like to add extra playtime or games to help them burn off energy. My goal is for them to have fun, stay engaged, and feel like they’re on their own little vacation while you’re away.

I’ve spent years fostering and caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities, so I’m comfortable with everything from energetic pups to seniors that need a slower pace. I’m very patient and good at reading dogs’ behavior, which helps them settle in and feel safe quickly. I also keep owners updated with pictures and little “pupdates” so they always know how their dog is doing. My goal is for every dog to feel right at home, not like they’re just being watched.

Ashley and her husband were fantastic with our pups! They came back in great shape and very happy. Ashley was super responsive, easy to work with, and we’d surely book with her again. She followed our feeding instructions and the dogs seem tired from playing :)
Ashley was fantastic with our dogs - they had tons of play time and down time; were worn out and happy as can be when picked up! She was responsive almost intuitive to our needs, sending photos and video clips throughout their stay. She totally understood our care instructions and "schedule" for the dogs - the property was clean, secure, and a great size for getting exercise or just relaxing on the deck. Our pups have already asked when they can go back! :)
