Pet care experience

I love making new fuzzy friends!

*half price deployments up to 6 months* I have a lot of time to devote to your fur family while you're tied up. I grew up with various breeds of dogs ranging from chows to shitzhu. I understand that your pet is your family and I have the flexibility to maintain any of your routines. If you dont have routine established I can help. I dont have professional training but i have lots of personal experience. I love walking and I live in a neighborhood with lots of safe space to roam. My yard isnt fenced in and we live in the country so we always leash your lovies when we go outside. My home is clean and clutter free, also a safe environment for your pets. I'm prepared to accomodate! My rates can be flexible with owners of multiples. Dont wait till the last minute to book for holidays!! No creature is off limits for care! I'll feed your horse, chickens, cows, or even your granny. I mostly have experience with birds and grandma's outside of the dog and cat realm 😆

Ashley is so fantastic and Maggie always comes back healthy and happy! You can tell Ashley loves animals and when we dropped Maggie off with her Maggie went right to her like they were old friends lol. Thank you Ashley for taking care of Maggie and for the great pics.

Ashley is a very experienced Dog Sitter. She understands my dogs needs and went out of her way to accommodate him. I was very satisfied with her. I absolutely will use her services again in the future.

Ashley took great care of our stubborn Bassett. We specifically did not want her kept in a kennel and with Ashley our pet was in the house and quite comfortable.

Rosco was more than happy with his stay. He seemed relaxed and happy when we picked him up! Ashley was lovely too! She sent photos and updates on Roscos stay and was very accommodating to a dog who needs to stay on a leash! We will be looking at rebooking in the future!

Ashley took such good care of our big ole fluff ball girly! It was our dog's first time being boarded, but Ashley helped her navigate it, and we're so thankful! Ashley's communication is great, and she's incredibly calm and competent. Highly recommend her!

Literally the best person for your fur babies! My pup loves going over and hanging out with Ashley and her family! She gets excited when we turn down their road!

Schedule

Being a top notch pet sitter is my career goal but being your pets other best friend is my life goal. I have made being a Rover pet sitter my priority through the day so anything your pet enjoys, we're doing. I'm awake every day at 5 am and I take my friends out for potty breaks immediately, followed by coffee and their breakfast. In the summer we are inside for a few hours by 11 and keep breaks to necessity only. Evening walks are on the agenda, health and weather permitting (please make sure pets are on preventatives when safe as the mosquitoes are thick out here and so is the wildlife and fleas are always a possibility with all the tall grass and creatures). I love to play and get to know you're pets personality and I really love elder care for pets because I get to spoil them and make them comfortable!

Safety, trust & environment

There's plenty of space for playing as well as giving our friends that don't enjoy commotion a little quiet time. There's a lot of shade in my yard and we spend time outdoors as a family so your pet will get plenty of supervised outdoor play. We live in a nice neighborhood with plenty of safe space to walk. I keep spare crates for pets that need to be crated at night or when they're alone (briefly) as well as baby gates to keep pets seperate in the event of clashing personalities. Boarding or kennels mean that your pet is alone from closing time (4-6 pm) until they open again (6-8am) and they sit alone in essentially a jail cell. They deserve a home setting where they wont miss a beat and I am thrilled to be here to share that with your pets.

A typical day

Tummy rubs, butt scratches, long walks on the beach (just kidding, I dont live by the beach)- but walks whenever and wherever is safe and possible, play time anytime! Joyrides! Anything your dog wants to do that is allowed and safe, we're doing! I've thrown doggy birthday parties (love you Barrow!) And I've been known to take a pup or two up for a pup cup or even a joyride on the golf cart (certain requirements have to be met by each pet).

I need to know pet commands and hand gestures, typical daily routine, food amount, medications and times, allergies, if your pet is a rescue and any history you may have on them. It's super helpful in cases of past life abuse to know as much about it as you do. I also need a picture at minimum of your pets vaccines from your vet. It's helpful to know what things your pets may be fearful of and it's decent if you disclose when they've bitten or been aggressive. I still take dogs that have bitten but I need to know how to prepare for safe visits for them, other dogs and myself.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
