I am working part time (once or twice a week) so I'll have plenty of time to spend with your lovable fur babies! I am available most during weekdays and some weekends. For stays in an owner's home, I will ensure that I stay overnight to provide the most safety and comfort for the pet as possible, with periodic revisits throughout the day to ensure they aren't left alone for too long. I am usually not gone for longer than 4-6 hours at a time. I do drop-ins and walks daily as well for those that are not overnights, and I am quick to respond to a pet parent's needs and concerns.

Safety, trust & environment

In my home, at this time I can only offer boarding for cats as that is all the space I have at the moment. I have four, free-roaming cats, so having another dog in-home is not the safest option at this time. In a client's home, you can expect your fur babies to receive the highest level of care that I am capable to provide, for both the pets and the home! You can expect to arrive home from a trip to a happy and healthy pet, as well as a clean and tidy home! I am very adamant about picking up after myself and ensuring everything is returned to its proper location in the home. I ensure all doors and/or windows are locked at night and when I leave the home to best prevent potential theft, and there will always be at least one light on outside or inside.

Information Ashley T. would like to know about your pet

Here are some important things that I would love to know about your fur babies ahead of time! 1. How do your pets interact with other pets and people? 2. If you are boarding with me, will you be bringing anything with your pets? (food, toys, beds, etc.) 3. What are some general temperaments/moods of your pets? (ie. separation anxiety, aggressive behaviors, etc.) 4. A detailed schedule of your routine with your pets to best ensure they are receiving the same level of care while you are away that they receive daily from you (this can be texted or typed on paper, up to your personal preferences!) 5. Any extra details that you feel I should know! (never feel that you have too many details - more is better!) I care for the health and safety of your pets as if they were my own, so it is best that I know as many details as possible about them so they can receive the best care!

A typical day

With the pets I watch, I am always trying to come up with creative things to do so that they are always entertained and never bored! A tired pup is a happy pup, and with proper exercise and play, this is absolutely achievable! When I take pets for walks I always let them interact with the environment safely - they are allowed to sniff things in their path so long as they are not harmful, and I don't allow them to eat anything off the ground outside. When approaching other pets, I maintain a safe distance, either turning and walking in the other direction, or crossing the street when possible. Avoidance is the best policy when approaching other pets as you never know what may happen!

Ashley did an amazing job caring for my senior cat while I was out of town! She provided excellent communication, sent updates, and clearly showed genuine affection and care for my cat. The entire experience was easy and completely stress-free! I will absolutely trust Ashley with my cat again in the future, and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter!
