I had Ashley stay in my home for four days to care for three dogs and four cats. We were out of town and unable to be reached by phone. My animals were all treated excellent! One of my dogs even had a little medical issue and she was able to call our vet and take care of it herself. My house was cleaned up probably better than before we left. The animals were all clean and well taken care of. We had no issues at all. I will definitely be using her again!

Ashley took care of our 2 dogs, 1 cat, and fish for a week while we were on vacation! Pros: - Great communicator during the week. - Sent daily photos. - Good with animals. - Asked lots of clarifying questions. - Took out the trash and put her dishes in the dishwasher. - Gave oldest dog her medicine with each meal (a powder that gets mixed into the food). Cons: - House and dogs were sandy/dirty upon our return from vacation (flip side of this being hey, at least they got their outside time in earlier that day!) - Cat litter box was not cleaned all the way to the bottom, so it was like scraping cement that first clean we got back. - Was not forthcoming about how long her work hours were during the interview. (That said, when I told her my animals are used to an 8-hour workday, I should have asked specifically how many hours she works in a day). I felt guilty throughout vacation that my animals were alone for 11-12.5 hours each day between her work hours and commute time (which didn’t come up until I checked the puppy cam and saw she was gone from 5:30am-6pm and asked for further clarification). Our younger pup ended up having to be crated during the second half of the week as she got stir crazy and became destructive in the house. (She then ended up peeing on her pad as well as her bed once the pad was too soiled for her and ended up being in quite a mess when we got home). I would recommend Ashley for weekend stays and pop-in visits given her current work schedule (which certainly can change over time). The cons were truly only related to the longer duration that Ashley housesat for us, and me not being explicit enough during the interview process of what my expectations were. Overall, I do appreciate what she did do for us and for keeping the pets safe and fed while we were gone!

Ashley was amazing with Jax. Came early to meet him, and get a tour of the house, sent pictures throughout the night, and even stayed an extra 10 minutes because we were late getting home. She’s loving, kind, and has such a positive energy. We would love to continue to have her at our home!

I have known her for over 8 years and she has always been a good animal person. They seem to take to her easily and obey. I would say she would make a good pet sitter/caregiver.
