My most commonly booked form of pet-sitting is overnight care in the pet's home. This can put the pets at ease and lets them maintain their usual routines. I have lots of experience doing overnights, and am a clean, considerate, and respectful house guest, to the recommendation of all of my clients (happy to give references). I also offer visits / drop-ins throughout the day, and am consistent and timely in these visits.

I have been taking care of animals all my life, and pet-sitting professionally for over 10 years now. I am particularly experienced and confident in caring for senior animals, pets needing medication, and those who are particularly shy or need that extra emotional consideration. You'll notice me take the extra time to get to know your pet and the nuances of their personality and needs. I offer animals the slowness and presence needed for deep listening and attunement: two qualities that help build trust. I am highly organized, detail-oriented, and good at communication. I'm used to planning my schedule and time around the needs of the animals I'm caring for, and am always ready to apply my extensive knowledge for unexpected situations that may arise. Some of my recent clients include a rowdy pack of 5 dogs of various size and breed, a senior cat with hyperthyroidism who switches her food preferences daily, a blind and deaf senior dog who loves to play, and a farm sanctuary with over 20 animals, including pigs rescued from a neglect situation and feral cats being socialized for the first time. If your animal needs a bit more time and care to feel comfortable around someone new, takes medication or is navigating ongoing health conditions, or is at higher likelihood of needing veterinarian intervention while you're away, these are situations where I have both experience and confidence. For me, animal care isn't just about completing all the tasks that need to be done for the well-being of our animal family members. It's about creating a relationship of trust with the animals relying on me, as well as their human guardians. Entrusting your beloved pet to another person, as well as opening your home to them, is something you deserve to feel secure and confident in. And your pet deserves to feel truly cared for, understood, and prioritized while you're away. With my years of experience both personally and professionally, and my special skills for medical and emotional complexity, I know I can provide a pet-care experience where trust flows in all directions.
