Hi, I’m Ashley. I’ve spent many years caring for dogs and truly understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I recently lost my much-loved 16-year-old Patterdale Terrier, Ruby, who was a huge part of my life. Caring for her through every stage—from energetic younger years to her senior needs—has given me a deep understanding of dogs of all ages, temperaments, and requirements. I also regularly look after my daughter’s dogs—a lovely Staffie and a miniature Dachshund—so I'm very comfortable with different breeds, sizes, and personalities. I work from home, which means your dog will never be left alone for long periods and will have plenty of attention, companionship, and care throughout the day. I offer a calm, safe, and loving environment, whether your dog enjoys walks and playtime (I have a very large, secure garden) or prefers a quieter, more relaxed routine. I treat every dog as if they were my own, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else. Ashley was a great dog sitter - good communication and followed Betsy’s routine. She was well looked after and had a lovely big garden to explore and cuddles on the sofa 😍
Lovely people and lovely house & garden. Ash was very accommodating regarding drop off and pick up times and Indie was obviously very happy there. I would definitely ask Ash to take care of Indie again.

Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine as I work from home full-time. This means I am around throughout the day and can give dogs consistent attention, supervision, and companionship rather than leaving them alone for long periods. I build our day around the dogs in our care, including regular walks, feeding times, play, and plenty of interaction. Because I'm home-based, I can also adapt easily to each dog’s needs—whether that’s more exercise, a quieter environment, or extra reassurance for nervous dogs. Having the flexibility of working from home allows me to provide a calm, structured, and attentive environment where dogs are always a priority and part of the daily routine.

I provide a calm, safe, and structured environment tailored to each dog’s needs. In my home, dogs become part of the family and are cared for with plenty of attention, companionship, and routine throughout the day. One of the biggest advantages I offer is my large, fully secure garden, which allows dogs to exercise, explore, and play safely without any risk. This is ideal for regular outdoor time, toilet breaks, and for dogs who enjoy being outside in a secure space. Inside the home, dogs have a comfortable, relaxed environment where they can settle, rest, and feel at ease. I follow the owner’s usual routines as closely as possible—feeding times, walk schedules, and any specific care requirements—so your dog feels at home. I also adapt my care depending on the dog’s personality, whether they are energetic and playful or prefer a quieter, more relaxed setting. If caring for pets in an owner’s home, I maintain the same level of attention and consistency, ensuring routines are followed closely and the pet remains comfortable in their familiar environment.
A typical day
A typical day includes morning walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of companionship tailored to each pet's needs. Fun activities may include games of fetch, scent and enrichment activities, gentle training practice, countryside walks, and lots of cuddles and attention. Throughout the day, pets receive regular exercise, mental stimulation, and loving care, helping them stay happy, relaxed, and comfortable while their owners are away.
