My name is Ashley! I am 32 years old. I have been watching animals through Rover for the past 6 1/2 years, but have been watching animals since I was a teenager. We just recently moved to Roxboro in October 2024. Before that we lived in Youngsville right outside of Wake Forest. I have watched animals for friends, family, neighbors, military friends while I was in, and lots of other pet parents! I have been married for 11 years and have one daughter, a dog, and a cat (I try not to bring any of them to bookings). We did have chickens and turkeys recently as well before we moved! I was also in the US Army for 3 years.

I have plenty of experience with a wide range of animals: dogs, cats, reptiles (ex: snakes, lizards), small animals (ex: hamsters, Guinea pigs, rabbits, ferrets), birds (ex: parakeets), fish (salt and fresh water), and farm animals (ex: chickens, ducks, geese, donkeys, horses, rabbits, goats - I have also milked goats, and pigs), and always willing to learn more!

All breeds are welcome! Would like to know if they’re good with other animals and children or if they have any fears/dislikes/health concerns/medications/possible aggression/are they house trained/etc. We usually go over all of this during a meet and greet.
A typical day
Any authorized areas you give I can take them to if it is a park/etc, nice walks, playing with their favorite toys, or even just running around the yard! If they like to lay around we can sit together or watch tv! Some animals are also stressed while their owner is gone so we can also just sit in silence as well! Housesitting during the summer is overnight from 9pm-7am and at least 2 visits during the day.
