EXPERIENCE Professional experience in the dog boarding industry as well as 39 years of constant com*paw*nionship. I've only been 2 years of my entire life without a dog. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF MY DOGS My dogs live inside with me! They sleep at the foot of my bed on my bed (until I've had enough and nudge them off) and are employeed full time as my indoor shadow. It's a necessary expense!!! PERSONAL HISTORY/INSIGHT I'm a die-hard loyal companion to my pups bc they are to me first! Never surrendered a single one of my pets no matter the alternative road I faced! Moved and couldnt keep my dog? Didnt move. Approved on home under terms: No Dog, my reply, "my dog and me or deal breaker". I commit whole heartedly and for LIFE! How many people can say that and it be truth? I was the little girl who got untrusting strays to follow her home which I did by singing song from the little mermaid and Andrew Lloyd webber songs. <--yes...u read that right. They have always trusted me and warmed up to me extremely easily. WISDOM/RESILIENCE Growing up...a neighborhood dog almost ended my life and guess what....I learned a lot on what NOT to do and kept the bond strong. What happened to me didn't phase me. CONCLUSION I've always preferred the company of animals over people for many reasons. But don't judge me .... HIRE me. The friendship, respect, consideration and connection I can't help is of the absolute highest caliber. Period.

Ashley was absolutely wonderful with our dogs! From the moment we dropped them off, we knew they were in great hands. She kept us updated throughout their stay with plenty of pictures and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the updates that our dogs were having an amazing time and receiving lots of love, attention, and care. They came home happy, relaxed, and exhausted from all the fun they had. Ashley treated them like part of her family, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Ashley to anyone looking for a trustworthy, caring, and communicative dog sitter. We will definitely be booking with her again!
Communication, following instructions and pictureand updates all lacked. I had to check in on my dogs each day or I don’t think I would’ve received one single update.

I've known Ashley for 15+ years and she has always been exceptional with animals. They're just drawn to her. She cares for them all like they're her own children. She's a hardcore advocate for adopting from shelters and I've known her to care for strays and even bury ones that she's seen hit by cars. She has a heart for dogs, like nobody I've ever met! You can be sure that if she were to dogsit for you, that she would care for your animal as well as you would or better.
I've known Ashley for 30 years and I've never not known her to speak animal she has the biggest heart for animals...be it fur or scales! I wouldn't put it past her to have already established a bond of some depth between her and your pet after the 1st stay. Its important to her that animals trust her and know they are safe with her. She will go out of her way to ensure their comfort, happy and feel loved (even at her expense). It doesn't get better, then her in regards to trusting her to look after your pet.

Schedule
I work from home and am extremely active. I'm an outdoorsy rebel who loves to explore the areas off the path. Hiking is how I stay going and sane. Dogs usually go with me.

Safety, trust & environment
I care for them by being present and constantly engaged. I notice when they are laying on the floor and don't have something soft. I know the things to look for before a fight breaks out and I also know exactly how to get them to stop that does not risk either of the dogs or myself. *INSIDE THE HOME IS ANOTHER INDIVIDUAL WITH YEARS OF EXPERIENCE DOING JUST THIS...HIS PET IS ACTUALLY IN THE PHOTOS. AND HE CAN PROVIDE REFERENCES UPON REQUEST!
Pets
A typical day
In the past I would often do Walks, Ball play, Hide and seek, Howling/Barking/Mirroring, Belly/Chest Rubs & Hikes. I love to explore off the beaten paths to see what I find & the dogs enjoy it as well. Rest assured - we avoid certain areas like tall grass where snakes may be & heavily wooded areas where you never know what there could be. I'm terrified of spiders if that helps paint the picture of what I explore & where I wont.
