Hello! My name is Ashley and I’ve been working with animals in some capacity since I was a kid. I grew up with all sorts of animals (including dogs!), was the neighborhood sitter for everyone’s cat 🐱, and have been a proud momma to my English Bulldog who made it to 12 years old before recently crossing the rainbow bridge 🌈. My biggest job by far has been taking care of my own bully. Their breed is notorious for health issues, and my guy was no different — he received oral medication and multiple eye drops daily, as well as required paw cleaning and an ointment daily (allergies). I note his care because I am an observant, compassionate, and detail oriented pet owner. I’m not stranger to high maintenance pups and I’d like to think my happy, playful Bully thrived until his peaceful passing was due to having a Mom who is on it (and also bully’s are pretty sweet, happy creatures on their own — so that’s probably most of it 😉).

Ashley was very sweet with our little guy Pugsley. She’s very kind and caring. She is great with communication. She sent lots of pictures and a video and I felt a lot less anxious about leaving my doggy.

Ashley is a stellar dog sitter! She’s spoiled my darling Pepa more than once when I was out of town. I’d highly recommend her for short and long term care.
Ashley has looked after my sweet chihuahua Juniper multiple times while I have been away. She not only followed all my directions, she kept me updated on how June was doing and kept everything tidy. I always know I can count on Ashley to give my doggy the love and attention she needs when I’m out of town.

Schedule
I am a recent Veteran and am also a healthcare provider at the VA in San Francisco. Currently, I work from 0700-early afternoon. My schedule can be somewhat flexible depending on your needs and I am also able to take your pup to work! (I am a psychologist and work in an office, my bully used to come to work with me everyday and loved it.)

Safety, trust & environment
I provide a loving and safe home. My apartment is near a large park and a residential neighborhood — taking walks is never an issue. I am happy to have an animal rest wherever they are most comfortable—their bed, couch, my bed. You can also trust that I am able to administer any medications and will be mindful of any behavioral, health or nutrition concern you need me to be tracking on!
A typical day
There are a few dog parks within a short drive, or if you prefer there’s a beautiful park near downtown San Mateo for long walks.
