I am a multi-certified professional dog trainer and owner of Ness Dog Behavior and Training, with nearly a decade of experience handling and caring for dogs, cats and other animals of all sizes, breeds and temperaments. I have worked extensively at one of the largest animal shelters in the country with hundreds of dogs who are fearful, reactive towards other dogs and animals, and who may exhibit other behavior challenges, using humane, positive reinforcement training methods. As a volunteer with the Dutchess and Ulster Counties' Animal Response Teams, I have completed multiple federal emergency disaster trainings, assist families and their companion animals during local emergencies or disasters, and regularly conduct animal emergency preparedness trainings and outreach in our community. I am also certified in pet first aid by the American Red Cross. Additionally, my experience includes managing a dog boarding facility, working at an animal sanctuary, fostering dogs, and regularly volunteering at animal shelters.
