I have been rescuing, nurturing back to peak health and finding new families for homeless dogs and cats for seventeen years. My most recent rescue was two kittens I found on the side of the road near a Tyson chicken plant. They hid in puddles of water covered with grass and they looked so frightened. I brought them home, bathed them and took them on a trip to the vet for their round of shots and a check up. Afterwards a friend that was looking for a companion took them in and the kittens adjusted right away, not to mention crawled around on my friend and perched themselves on his shoulder like a couple of parrots. I used to board dogs at home and have decided to venture out to house and pet sit. I find that sitting animals in their own environment makes for a more comfortable stay with less anxiety. I am available any day of the week as I am wanting to make this passion a full time career for myself. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have and I look forward to meeting your adorable fur babies! I also offer house cleaning for a negotiable fee for overnight stays, just ask if you're interested.

I don’t know where to begin. When we booked with Ashley, she told us she would spend most of the day at our home, but she only showed up for a few hours each day and never once spent the night, which was not what we agreed to. Our pets are deeply loved and deserved better than this. We had a second booking scheduled for the following week, and at 6:50 PM the night before it was set to begin, Ashley informed us she would be away 12–13 hours a day due to a new job. I understand that life happens, but a few hours’ notice is simply not acceptable, especially if this was something she saw coming. We ended up canceling and had to scramble at the last minute to find other arrangements. The combination of the last-minute cancellation and the inconsistent care during the first booking, sometimes not showing up until 12:30 in the afternoon, has left a sour taste, and we will not be using Rover again.
Ashley was able to pull through for us when our previous sitter backed out with only two days’ notice. We were immediately interested in her after reading on her profile that she rescues animals and helps find homes for them after caring for them. As a pet parent to a dog and a rambunctious kitten, I have a lot of anxiety about the safety and wellbeing of my pets, so it was important to find someone with the care and patience to look after someone else’s babies while we were out of town. When we did the meet and greet, both my dog and my kitten immediately took to Ashley, which made us feel even more confident leaving them in her care. Ashley kept us updated every day with photos and text message reports with how they were doing, which made our trip much more enjoyable because we didn’t have to worry about our pets. When we came home, both my dog and kitten were happy and acted like we had never even left. They were clearly very well cared for, comfortable, and relaxed. Ashley house-sat for us in our home while we were away and she was also very respectful of our home and everything was exactly as we left it when we returned. I will absolutely be booking Ashley again in the future for all of our pet sitting needs, and I highly recommend her!

Ashley did an excellent job. My two cats, Jasper and Graycie, were happy. My third cat, Walter, was shy but was well taken care of by Ashley.
