I started working for West Chester Veterinary Care in 2013 for almost 3 years. I started as a Kennel Assistant which also included Doggy Daycare. I soon worked my way up to a Veterinary Assistant- which included answering phone calls to help out our clients and schedule appointments, to administrating vaccinations, to assisting appointments and surgeries. Essentially working as a veterinary technician, as we were trained to do so by the veterinarian. While I was working there I also started house sitting (dogs, cats, and rabbits) a coworkers pets which then spread to multiple others by word of mouth. I now work at Cincinnati Children's Hospital but my passion is animals. I recently rescued a dog of my own who is scared of everything! I have been able to work with him and he has become such a brave dog. I have handling experience from running the Puppy Preschool program at the vet I worked for- getting them used to things like ear cleanings, nail trimmings, and blood draws so they aren't so nervous when coming to the vet.
