Pets

Safety, trust & environment

I treat every cat I care for as if they were my own, providing individualized attention tailored to their personality and needs. With my own kitten, who is incredibly energetic and full of curiosity, I’ve learned the importance of interactive play, mental stimulation, and establishing a comforting routine. When caring for your cat, I’ll: • Provide fresh food and water to keep them healthy and happy. • Clean and maintain the litter box for a tidy and stress-free environment. • Engage in playtime with toys and games to keep active cats entertained. • Offer cuddles or quiet companionship for more relaxed or shy cats. • Monitor their behavior and well-being to ensure they’re thriving. I understand that every cat is unique, whether they’re bursting with energy like my kitten or prefer a calm and cozy environment. My goal is to keep your cat comfortable, content, and cared for while you’re away.

Ashley is always a responsible, caring, and attentive pet caregiver. She has taken care of my multiple cats over the past 10 years and has always been incredible. Being a pet owner herself, she knows what they need and treats each pet as her own.

Schedule

As someone with a consistent 8 AM to 4 PM work schedule, I can easily fit cat-sitting visits into my day. I’m available for morning visits before work to feed, play, and check on your cat, as well as evening visits to provide additional care and attention. If you book house sitting, I’ll ensure your cat has companionship and care throughout the night and morning, giving them a sense of routine and comfort. My schedule allows me to balance my responsibilities while prioritizing your cat’s needs.

Here’s a list of important things I’d need to know about your cat to provide the best care possible: 1. Feeding Schedule and Preferences: • What and how often do they eat? • Any special dietary needs or restrictions? 2. Litter Box Details: • Where is the litter box located? • How often do you clean it? • Any preferences for litter type or cleaning routine? 3. Personality and Behavior: • Are they shy, energetic, or affectionate? • Do they have any quirks or habits I should know about? 4. Play and Enrichment: • What are their favorite toys or activities? • Do they enjoy interactive play or prefer solo time? 5. Health and Medication: • Do they have any health conditions or need medications? • What’s their vet’s contact information? 6. Emergency Contact: • Who should I contact if I can’t reach you in an emergency? 7. Safety Considerations: • Are they indoor-only, or do they go outside? • Do they try to escape when doors are open? 8. Comfort Preferences: • Do they like specific blankets, beds, or hiding spots? • Are there areas of the home they prefer or are restricted from? 9. Daily Routine: • Are there specific times they’re used to eating, playing, or napping? • Do they need lights on or music/TV for comfort when alone? 10. Behavioral Challenges: • Have they ever shown aggression or anxiety? • How do they react to new people or changes in routine? Knowing these details helps me ensure your cat feels safe, happy, and well-cared for in your absence!
