Availability

I work full-time at a veterinary clinic, get 1 hour lunch, and during the meet n greet process explain in detail when I'm available. If said time slots do not work with the care of the pet/owners wishes the booking is not made. I am flexible to an extent. Heads Up: As we look into 2025/2026 I will be limiting my schedule and these changes may not reflect on my calendar at all times as they may change sort of last minute. I will try my best to get updated as things come through. If you have dates by all means don’t hesitate to reach out but just know I may not be available.

Safety, trust & environment

If the owners yard is not fenced in and there is no tie out system set up I will have the pet/pets on a leash. Do not allow any human foods fed while under my care. I do a walk around to ensure I do not see any obvious safety issues. I have open communication with the owners of all things while their pet/pets are under my care including pictures and video. I require my clients to notify their primary veterinary clinic that their pets will be watched by me. *Disclosure of all indoor and outdoor cameras is also required and appreciated. Any undisclosed cameras will result in a $25 fee (each camera) that will be applied to your booking*

Information Ashley J. would like to know about your pet

As mentioned previously I do request a list of medications your pet requires and the best way they take them. Any health issues should be disclosed in order to properly care for your pet. All medications should have veterinarian label with instruction of how they should be given. I need to know any behavior modification I should adhere to.

A typical day

I can take your pet on approved walks, play fetch, car rides, approved treats, practice tricks, play with favorite toys, lots and lots of pets and snuggles.

Pet care experience

I've grown up with animals of all kinds. I've been pet/house sitting since I was 16 yrs old. I have been a Veterinary Assistant for coming up on 10yrs and love every second of it!!! I work at a veterinary clinic where I get an hour for lunch break so I am able to let dogs out at my convenience as well as stay over if the pet owner wishes. (Lunch hours vary 12pm,1230pm, 1pm) I do request special words used for potty, pee, poop, kennel, crate, bed, hand signals for daily routine as well as list of typical daily routines. (How often do they poop, eat, etc. So these things are monitored). I prefer to dogsit for those that have fenced in yards, pet is able to be latched to some kind of lead that is secure outside, or I take out on a leash/harness or halti. As much as an owner swears their pet will mind me I do not roll with risks of an unexpected spook and the pet take off. I take this extremely serious. I will not feed your pet rawhides, bones of any kind, or human foods (cheeseburger/pork/etc). I require pet owner to have a list of allergies, foods, schedule for feedings if applicable as well as medications, must have veterinary information and informed their primary veterinarian that I have permissions to bring in and discuss any emergency needs for the pet in their absence. Any quirks your pet has regarding behavior or anxiety must be discussed as I want to make this the safest environment and make the experience with me as positive as possible. Please be prepared to provide vaccination proof for ALL pets. If over 1-2yrs old, must be spayed or neutered.
