I work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and live just a few minutes from my office, so I typically come home during lunch to check on the animals and spend some time with them. While I do offer weekday stays, weekends are preferred since I am home much more and can dedicate extra time, attention, playtime, cuddles, and potty breaks to your pet throughout the day. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I require a meet-and-greet before booking any stay. This allows your pet to meet Ivy and ensure everyone gets along well before their visit. My goal is to create a positive, stress-free experience for both your pet and mine. When I am away at work, I prefer that visiting dogs be separated from Ivy and Wrigley as a precaution. This can be done in a crate if that is what your pet is accustomed to, or in a separate bedroom or area of the house—we can discuss what arrangement works best for your pet’s needs and comfort level. Cats are welcome to roam freely if they are comfortable doing so. I ask that cat owners provide a litter box, litter, food, medications (if applicable), and any favorite toys, beds, or comfort items that will help their cat feel at home. Every pet is unique, and I am happy to accommodate their individual routines and needs whenever possible. My priority is making sure your fur baby feels safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.

Your pet will be staying in a spacious two-story home with a large, fully fenced backyard where they can safely play, explore, and enjoy plenty of outdoor time. Inside, they’ll have access to comfortable spaces for relaxing, including a big couch that’s perfect for naps and snuggles. I keep a variety of toys and chews on hand for my furry guests, and I love taking dogs on walks around my pet-friendly neighborhood to help them stay active and engaged. Pets in my care are treated like family and are welcome throughout the home. I understand that being away from home can be an adjustment for some pets, so I encourage owners to bring any favorite toys, treats, chews, blankets, or beds that help their pet feel comfortable and secure. My goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible and provide a safe, loving environment where your pet can relax, have fun, and feel right at home. In addition to boarding, I am also happy to provide drop-in visits for both dogs and cats. Whether your pet needs a potty break, feeding, medication, playtime, a walk, or simply some extra love and attention while you’re away, I am flexible and committed to providing reliable, compassionate care tailored to their needs.

Pet care experience
I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had multiple dogs and cats, and I was the one who happily took on feeding, caring for, and spending time with them. I also became the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, giving me years of hands-on experience with pets of all ages, sizes, and personalities. Today, I’m a dentist and proud pet parent to Ivy, my English Cream Golden Retriever, and Wrigley, my playful young cat. Ivy loves having furry visitors and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and cats, especially those with a calm, friendly temperament. Wrigley is full of personality and has grown up around dogs and cats, making him comfortable and social with other animals. When your pet stays with me, they’ll be treated like part of the family. I understand how important it is to find someone you trust with your fur baby, and I strive to provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where they can feel right at home. Whether your pet loves playtime, cuddles, or simply relaxing, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, care, and affection throughout their stay.
