Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to easily plan dog walks and drop-in visits throughout the day, whether it’s during the morning, lunch hour, or afternoon. I enjoy the opportunity to step away from my desk, spend time outside, and make sure other pets get the exercise, attention, and care they need.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to follow their normal routine as closely as possible so their pets feel comfortable and secure. I know every dog has different needs, so I take the time to understand their schedule, exercise needs, feeding routine, and any special instructions. Whether it’s a walk, playtime, fresh water, feeding, or simply giving them company, I treat each pet with the same care and attention I give my own pups. I also respect each client’s home, keeping everything tidy and making sure their pet is safe, happy, and well cared for while they’re away.

During walks, I focus on making sure each dog gets both physical exercise and mental stimulation. I love taking dogs on leisurely walks through the neighborhood, to nearby parks, or along the lakefront whenever possible. I’m patient on my walks and make sure dogs have time to stop, sniff, and enjoy their walk at their own pace, since that kind of exploration is so important for their mental enrichment. Whether your dog enjoys a brisk walk to burn energy or a slower stroll with lots of time to explore, I’m happy to tailor the experience to what makes them happiest and most comfortable.

Hi there! My name is Ashley and I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life and can’t imagine life without them. My two Brittany spaniels, Tucker (11) and Cooper (9), are my absolute favorites (along with my husband, of course!). I have several years of experience dog walking and pet sitting from college and beyond, and I recently decided to reopen my Rover account because I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. Since I work from home, I have a flexible schedule that makes it easy to fit in walks and drop-in visits. I understand how important daily exercise is for dogs and am passionate about providing dogs with the activity, attention, and care they need while their owners are away. When you book with me, I can guarantee to treat your pets like they’re part of my own family! P.S. I am a runner and would be happy to jog with your pup if they require a little bit more exercise. I will not jog if I feel it’s too hot (over 85 degrees) and will jog at your dog’s pace.

I highly recommend Ashley as your next dog sitter. She was super responsive and flexible and I could tell that she took great care of Bowie and loved him like her own. Plus, her dog Tucker, is super cute and friendly.
