Hi, I’m Ashley Hertlen — a lifelong animal lover with years of hands-on experience in pet care and dog training. My journey started early, volunteering at the Humane Society during my teenage years. Those two summers opened the door to working at Riverside Animal Hospital, where I deepened my understanding of animal health and behavior. From there, I began training my own dogs for shows and competitions, proudly bringing home People’s Choice trophies and earning multiple training certificates. Over the years, I’ve also worked at a boarding facility, caring for pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. Today, I’m a professional dog trainer at PetSmart, where I help pet parents build stronger bonds with their dogs through positive reinforcement and customized training plans.
