I’m currently helping my elderly grandma a couple days out of the week, which gives me plenty of time to offer love to your fur babies.

Safety, trust & environment
First and foremost, I treat anyone’s house and it’s belongings as my own in the sense of care. I’m aware it’s not completely the same but I also did in-house babysitting for about a year as well. Due to that I do have some previous work and clients that trusted me with their house and child. I always approach new dogs carefully and pay close attention to their behavior. I treat all dogs with respect in hopes they will return the favor. If a dog is especially nervous, I try to spend more time with them and show extra care to ease their nerves. When taking dogs outside for bathroom breaks, I try not to bring them back in until I see that they’ve gone to the bathroom. I make sure food and water is given out when needed, as well as any treats or medications.
Information Ashley H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any medical conditions such as seizures, diabetes, or anything of that nature. If they are scared of anything, I would also like to know so I can do my best to avoid those triggers. Any aggression definitely needs to be known beforehand such as food, people, dog, and personal space aggressions.
A typical day
I love to take dogs on walks and, if they can be trusted off-leash, take them to a play yard if one is available. There we can play fetch, tug of war, and even work on training. I prefer that dogs be leashed or in a fenced-in play area for safety measures.

Pet care experience
I have two fur babies of my own, who are on opposite ends of the spectrum so I’m very familiar with handling both calm and crazy dogs. I’m also a cat mom to a crazy little guy who loves snuggles. I also worked at a dog grooming and boarding facility for a little over a year. I was hired on as a kennel technician but advanced to general assistant. I took our boarding dogs out on a regular basis, kept their kennels clean, supplied food and water, administered medications if needed, and spent comforting one-on-one time with them when possible. I want to continue working with dogs but since I’m going back to school I was hoping to do that in way which will better fit my schedule.
