Experienced and caring pet lover.
I grew up with dogs, cats, birds, and mice. It was my responsibility to care for our animals, so I took basic care of all animals including cleaning litter boxes, cages, feeding, and walks. In college I watched a variety of professors dogs, some with health problems. I did in-home sitting and walks every day. The last 2 years I have helped roommates care for their dogs, and I adopted my own German Shepherd. My own dog had several health and behavioral issues which deepened my experience with animals. Unfortunately, due to his health issues he passed away. I also have a male cat who has some territorial and separation anxiety issues. I'm currently learning different positive reinforcement tactics with him to help with our current issues.

I try my best to imitate the owners schedules so that the animals are comfortable. I'm happy to spend time with the animals so that they get exercise and play time as well as give them any and all attention they need and plenty of treats! I follow instructions and ensure any medications needed are given on time and the correct dosage.

Ashley is the most reliable, caring and conscientious dog sitter, and my Lola loves her, which makes my travels worry free. She gives me the best daily uodates, and I know that my dog is in great hands while I am away. I’d give her ten stars if that was an option,

Ashley is always amazing with Lola, but this time she went above and beyond—she noticed Lola straining to pee on my first night away, which led to an evening trip to the emergency vet. She kept me informed and handled everything with intelligence and compassion. Not the way either of us planned my week away, but Ashley made sure Lola was expertly cared for.

Schedule
I am a wildlife biologist who works a full time job at the NYS Department of Health (8:30-4:30p) and have weekends off, with the occasional field work on weekends. I have time in the morning and evening to walk and spend time with animals.
