I always aim to keep pets comfortable by following their usual routine as closely as possible. In a pet owner’s home, I’ll ensure they have fresh water, meals at the correct times, plenty of attention, exercise, and any playtime or quiet time they enjoy. I’ll also keep their living areas clean and tidy and provide regular updates with photos and messages. If caring for pets in my home, I provide a safe, calm, and welcoming environment in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, where they can relax and feel at home. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, and affection while respecting any specific instructions regarding feeding, medication, routines, or behaviour. Every pet is different, so I take the time to understand their individual personality, needs, and preferences to ensure they feel secure, happy, and well cared for.

I’ve always known my uncle to be a caring, reliable and patient person, especially around animals. Whenever he’s looked after our young Rotweiler, Red, he’s treated him as if he were his own, making sure he was well cared for, exercised and given plenty of attention. He loves spending time outdoors and regularly enjoys long country walks, which makes him ideal for dogs that need exercise and adventure. He’s also very attentive to each pet’s individual needs and takes the time to make them feel comfortable and secure. I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a pet sitter. Any pet owner can feel confident that their animals will be in safe, loving and responsible hands.
I would highly recommend Ash as a pet or house sitter. He looked after my dog, Millie as though she was his own, making sure she was comfortable, well cared for, and received plenty of attention. It was clear from the start that he genuinely loves animals and understands how important they are to their owners. What stood out most was his reliability and communication. I felt completely at ease knowing my baby was in safe hands, and I could enjoy my time away without worrying. He is kind, patient, and dependable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to ask him to care for Millie again in the future.

Schedule
Pet care fits very well into my daily routine. I’m retired, so I have plenty of flexibility and time to dedicate to caring for pets without having to fit them around a busy work schedule. I enjoy being active and getting outdoors, so dog walks are something I genuinely look forward to. I’m also happy to provide company, feeding, playtime, and check-ins for cats and other pets. Because I have a flexible schedule, I can be reliable and consistent, helping pets maintain their normal routines while their owners are away.

- So many questions but we can cover all this in an intro discussion. Here’s a few examples: What’s your pet’s age, breed, and personality like? Are they friendly with strangers, children, and other animals? Do they have any fears, anxieties, or behavioural quirks? Do they have any medical conditions or allergies? Are they taking any medications? If so, how and when are they administered? What are their usual feeding times and portion sizes? What treats are they allowed (or not allowed)? What is their normal exercise routine? Can they be let off lead, or should they remain on lead at all times? Do they have reliable recall - dogs, not cats ;)? Are there any triggers I should be aware of (other dogs, cyclists, livestock, etc.)? What are their favourite walking routes? Etc….
